Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Diving for Medicines Walkthrough Guide

Diving for Medicines is the twenty-second mission in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and it kicks off Sequence Six. It’s a classic “get the tool, clear the threat, then loot the wreck” setup—except this time the payoff is access to underwater treasures and a way to grab what you need without drawing unwanted attention.

Mission window, location, and key availability

You start the quest after returning to Nassau when the in-game date has advanced to January 1718. The mission requires acquiring a Diving Bell (purchased for 5,000 Reales or obtained via a pirate camp route), then traveling back and mapping coordinates 356,745 on your way to Thatch. From there, you sail near Spanish wreckage at 348,745, drop the bell, and explore the San Ignacio Wreck for chests and a secret.

How to start Diving for Medicines

To begin, head back to Nassau. The date is now January 1718, and you’ll find yourself back in the tavern with Hornigold and Thatch. Both are worried about an attack, and your goal is to locate medicine that helps without bringing the British down on your heads. To do that, you’ll need a Diving Bell.

Acquire a Diving Bell

1. Purchase a Diving Bell from the Harbourmaster for 5,000 Reales.
2. Alternatively, talk to Adewale. He’ll point you to a camp in the southwest of Nassau where a Diving Bell can be found.

Take the Diving Bell from the pirate camp

You’ll need to defeat five pirates at the camp to take the bell. Here’s a reliable approach for clearing the area:

• Start on the southern side, closer to where the bell is located.
• Move into the haystack and wait until a pirate comes near.
• Assassinate that pirate.
• When the brute draws close, use a whistle to pull attention, then assassinate him as well.

• Use the bushes to close in toward the center of the camp and eliminate the nearby pirates.
• Once the area is clear, interact with the Diving Bell to collect it.

Meet with Thatch

With the Diving Bell in hand, you’ll need to sail to Thatch. You can use the nearby row boat to reach the Jackdaw quickly. After that, head back to Dry Tortuga and map coordinates 356,745.

When you catch up to Thatch, he tells you there’s no medicine where you are—but suggests there may be some nearby.

Next, sail close to the Spanish wreckage at 348,745 and drop the Diving Bell. With the bell available, you can explore shipwrecks for treasures.

San Ignacio Wreck

Now you’ll be exploring the San Ignacio Wreck. While you’re underwater, there are seven chests and one secret to locate.

1. Watch out for jellyfish while you swim. You can simply avoid them and they shouldn’t be much of a problem.
2. Use the Diving Bell to restore your oxygen.
3. There are also Air Barrels you can use to replenish oxygen, but they’re one-time consumables—so save them for moments when you really need them.

For the medicine, head west toward the large wreckage, then move up to the top. Interact with the hatch to open it, swim down, and open the chest to claim the medicine.

That chest is trapped by a beam, so looting it will trigger the opening of a new section. Swim through the tunnel, surface for air, then dive down again. This time, you’ll get carried by a current that pushes you into another part of the wreck.

As you break the surface, you’ll spot another diver—and a new hazard. Swim down and hide in the bushes near the Air Barrel to avoid the sharks.

1. You can also hide inside barrels.
2. You can blend in with schools of fish.
3. If a shark spots you, it will lunge, but you can dodge its attacks.

Once you’ve collected everything you want from the shipwreck, return to the Diving Bell and come back up to the surface. Shipwrecks will now be marked on your map, revealing additional locations you can tackle with the Diving Bell. With that, the mission wraps up.
