Streetwise Search Quest Guide: Find Hidden Figments in City Town
“Streetwise Search” is a Quest tied to the City Town area in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and it’s essentially your on-ramp to the game’s hidden collectible loop. In this region, you’ll learn about hidden Figments—small, wish-like items that feel closer to collectibles from “imaginary tech” than traditional loot. The Quest becomes available after you’ve unlocked City Town through “Into the Fog.” From there, you can kick things off by speaking to Usahana.
What “Streetwise Search” teaches you about Figments
Usahana’s opening message sets the tone: the Figments that previously helped you access City Town are now present in town, and she wants you to dig deeper into what they are and where they’ve gone.
Next, you’ll need to find Chococat, who is posted in the park on the left side of City Town. Chococat explains that Figments are small wishes created through “imaginary technology,” but he’s unsure about their origin. More importantly for gameplay, he upgrades your Treasure Sensor tool. That device is something you may recognize from earlier Quest work—for example, it was used to track Power Crystals in Quests like “Power Up the Gate.”
How the Treasure Sensor works during the Quest
Chococat wants you to prove the upgrade works by finding a Figment yourself. To do so, equip the Treasure Sensor tool and watch how it reacts as you approach something hidden.
When you’re near a hidden Figment, the Sensor will shake and a yellow border will appear. As you get closer, the feedback ramps up: the border shifts toward orange/red, and the shaking accelerates when you’re extremely close. Once you reach the target, the Figment appears in a burst of confetti. At that point, you can select the Figment icon and pick it up.
Why the Quest is more specific than it looks
Chococat doesn’t just want any collectible—he asks you to locate a particular kind of Figment. The requirement is a yellow Treasure Hunt Figment. Other Figment varieties will not satisfy this step, so it’s worth being deliberate rather than grabbing the first thing the Sensor highlights.
The Quest gives you a concrete location to start with: there is a Treasure Hunt Figment on the top left edge of the park, specifically between a pink triangular planter and a blue triangular planter. That placement matters because the game is guiding you toward the “hunt” style Figment, not every type of hidden wish you might find while exploring.
After you collect the correct Figment, return to Chococat. With the item in hand, Usahana and Chococat will introduce you to Figment Nul. Figment Nul will function as a tracker for all the Figments you’ve found, and it also ties your efforts to rewards for discovering lots of them.
Where this Quest leaves you—and what it implies for the wider loop
The Quest itself ends after that handoff to Figment Nul, but the game’s messaging makes the intent clear: even though “Streetwise Search” is done, there are many more Figments waiting to be found around City Town and beyond.
