How to Unlock the “Tree-mendous Tastes” Quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
“Tree-mendous Tastes” is a quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure tied to Keroppi’s Orchard in the City Town area. You’ll be able to start it only after the first set of trees you planted during “Branching Out” has finally grown enough to bear fruit.
If you want this quest to unlock on schedule, keep a simple routine: water your trees every day. Head to the Orchard, then tap the watering can icon next to each tree. With consistent watering, each tree progresses on a four-day cycle—after one day it becomes a Sapling, after two days it turns into a Young tree, and after three days it reaches Adult stage. On the fourth day as an Adult tree, it will bear fruit. Once that first batch has produced fruit, return and talk to Usahana to begin the quest.
The quest tasks are straightforward: you’ll harvest fruit, then locate and plant new fruit trees in the Orchard. The new tree types are Dragonfruit, Lime, Grapes, Orange, and Peach. After you complete everything, you’ll also gain quest rewards that include both cooking options and additional trees.
Harvest Fruit
Start by talking to Usahana, who will be thrilled to see the trees fully grown. Make your way to the Orchard—it’s on the low roof on the east side of City Town, positioned near the Theater. Once you’re there, talk to Usahana again. She’ll celebrate the fruit’s progress alongside Keroppi and Wish me mell, and then asks you to pick the fruit.
To pick it, move from tree to tree and select the hand icon that appears next to each one. When you’ve collected everything, speak with Usahana a final time to unlock two new recipes for the Imagination Cafe.
The recipes you receive are:
- Whipped Cream — made using 1 Cactus Cream, yielding 5 Whipped Cream.
- Sando — made using 1 Whipped Cream plus three of any ingredients that can be used at the Imagination Cafe.
After harvesting, the fruits you collected can now be used at the Imagination Cafe to prepare new meals. The new flavor directions you can unlock are Refreshing, Tart, Citrus, and Lychee.
Find and Plant New Fruit Trees
Even though “Tree-mendous Tastes” technically ends after the fruit-picking and recipe unlock portion, finishing the quest also gives you access to five new fruit trees around City Town. Retrieve each sapling and plant it back in the Orchard. Here’s where every one is located:
Dragonfruit Tree
The Dragonfruit Fruit Tree Sapling can be found on the same rooftop as the Orchard, on the right side next to the Fast Travel Mailbox.
Lime Tree
The Lime Fruit Tree Sapling is placed in front of the Rainbow Tower Apartment Building, on the left side of City Town, near the spot where Usahana usually stands.
Grapes Tree
The Grapes Fruit Tree Sapling is located to the right of the dock where you first arrived in City Town. It sits near a ladder that leads down to the beach.
Orange Tree
The Orange Fruit Tree Sapling is on the left cluster of rooftops in City Town, positioned slightly to the right of the West City Rooftop Fast Travel Mailbox.
Peach Tree
The Peach Fruit Tree Sapling is at the end of the road leading into the fog. Stand on the right side of the road just before you reach the fog itself.
Once you collect all the saplings, plant them in the Orchard. As with your original trees, you’ll need to water them for seven days to reach full growth. After that, they’ll start producing fruit again—fruit you can use at the Imagination Cafe.
