Hello Kitty Island Adventure: City Laze Gudetama Photo Quest Guide

“City Laze” is a Quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure set in the City Town area. Pochacco pulls you into a gudetama-themed mini-collection: you’ll search around City Town for gudetama, photograph them, and then bring those pictures back to Pochacco. As with the gudetama system on Friendship Island, submitting photos rewards you with a steady stream of cosmetics and décor—like clothing, furniture, comics, and more.

Run A Course With Pochacco

Talk to Pochacco. If you meet him on Friendship Island, he’ll direct you to City Town. Visiting him in City Town starts the Quest right away.

Pochacco explains that he’s looking for fresh places to exercise. He asks you to try a Challenge Course in City Town—specifically Road Running. The course starts at the Imagination Cafe and then follows a looping road to the right.

Progress requires you to complete this Challenge Course once. If you’re struggling with the timing or pace, you can boost your movement speed by crafting and drinking a Speedy Walking Potion. For more route and timing help, there’s also a Challenge Course Guide available to players.

Make A Snack For Pochacco

After you finish the Challenge Course, talk to Pochacco again. He says the run worked up an appetite and requests Veggie Mochi. You can prepare it at the Chef’s Station located inside the Imagination Cafe.

You’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Rice Flour x 1 — You can make 5 Rice Flour from 1 Rice, using Usahana’s return gift as part of the process.
  • Spinip x 1 — Found along the edges of water in the Spooky Swamp area.

Once your Veggie Mochi is ready, gift it to Pochacco. He “greatly enjoys it,” which moves the Quest forward.

Help Pochacco Make A Gudetama Sign

Pochacco says that eating at the Imagination Cafe sparked an idea for gudetama-themed decorations. He proposes that you take photos of gudetama in City Town and turn them in for rewards—though, naturally, you’ll need a Gudetama Sign first.

To build it, Pochacco asks you to gather materials. The next step is to talk to Usahana, who shares that she loves the idea of a gudetama-themed cafe. She provides 2 x White Dye Pouch and 1 x Yellow Dye Pouch to help with the sign.

You then need to give the dye pouches to Pochacco. He also requests 1 Woodblock. To craft a Woodblock at the Crafting Station, you can use either 5 Sticks or 7 Coconuts.

After handing over the items, return to Pochacco and meet him once more in the West City Park area. Specifically, go to the base of the stairs leading into the park. He’ll construct the sign there, and you can then talk to him again at that location to claim the new gudetama rewards.
