New LEGO Pokémon Sets Revealed: Rayquaza, Arcanine, and Munchlax

LEGO is finally tapping into its long-rumored connection with the Pokémon franchise, and the company isn’t stopping at the first wave. Alongside the Smart Brick products already shown, LEGO has now officially unveiled three more Pokémon building sets—bigger releases intended for standard brick building and display.

Lego Rayquaza, Arcanine, And Munchlax Revealed

These newly announced sets are scheduled to launch on the same date as the previously revealed Smart Brick lineup. The featured Pokémon are Arcanine, Rayquaza, and Munchlax, and all three are classic LEGO sets designed strictly for constructing and putting on display. There are no interactive features included, and it’s not expected to include any built-in Smart Brick capability—even if you already own Smart Brick pieces.

At the moment, the three new products don’t appear to be listed on LEGO’s website. However, since the official reveals are already out in the open, it shouldn’t take long before they show up online, with pre-orders following shortly after. LEGO also says every one of these sets will release on August 1, 2026—the same day as the Smart Brick sets mentioned earlier.

While pre-orders aren’t available just yet, pricing and piece counts have been confirmed. Rayquaza is the largest—and most expensive—of the three. Still, even the legendary Dragon/Flying-type doesn’t come close to the $650 price tag attached to the Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise set that kicked off LEGO’s Pokémon run.

Prices And Piece Counts

The Rayquaza set, which depicts the Dragon/Flying Pokémon perched atop a tower surrounded by clouds, includes 1,083 pieces and costs $129.99.

The Arcanine set is slightly larger at 1,190 pieces, but it’s priced lower at $99.99. The smallest entry is Munchlax, which comes with a tree stump and LEGO apple elements. That set contains 757 pieces and costs $79.99—making it a bit pricier than the previously released Eevee set.

  • Rayquaza — 1,083 pieces — $129.99
  • Arcanine — 1,190 pieces — $99.99
  • Munchlax — 757 pieces — $79.99

August 1 is shaping up to be a packed day for Pokémon LEGO. That’s when 15 total sets launch at once, not counting the Ditto Squirtle gift you’ll receive when you buy a certain quantity of the LEGO Smart Brick sets. Even so, the Smart Brick line is positioned as the more budget-friendly option for younger builders, and it has also faced criticism for not including a Smart Brick piece as standard. While all 12 Smart Brick sets offer Smart Brick functionality, only the two higher-priced releases include the Smart Brick component right out of the box.
