How to Unlock Flipside and What to Do in Stage List Guide
Note: Spoilers are ahead for solo play. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past had the Dark World, and Rhythm Heaven Groove has a similar destination in Flipside. You’ll gain access to Flipside after you’ve met the requirement of achieving at least a “Good” rating on Remix 8 in Stage 8. Once you’re in, here’s what you can do—starting with the optional games and then moving on to the stages.
Flipside Checklists: What You Can Do After Unlocking
Below are the small, optional activities you’ll find, followed by the stage content.
- Lounge — A place to unwind and chat with the staff in a stylish lounge. You may even pick up fun facts about the game.
This area functions much like a café. If you stop by, the mysterious bartender will tell you that if you ever run into an especially tough challenge with any song, you should come back to them.
- Score Attack — Collect medals to unlock special rhythm games. The goal is simple: try to top your own previous high score.
- Drum Lessons — Practice your drumming. As you earn medals, you’ll unlock additional lessons, including some that are notably challenging.
- Secret — Listed as currently unknown, with content coming soon.
- Frontside — The entrance to the Frontside area. The game teases that you’ll find out what it is—essentially nudging you to go in and see.
