Unlock the Omega DLC

  • Prerequisite: Complete “Priority: Palaven”.

Before you can start the Omega DLC lead-in, you’ll need to handle a short chain of early-game requirements. The first and most important step is finishing “Priority: Palaven”, which opens up the major travel options across the Citadel so you can move through the areas you’ll need for the DLC.

After that, go to Purgatory and speak with Aria while you’re there. She’ll explain how she ended up in that situation—especially if you’ve already read the Mass Effect: Invasion comic, since the explanation aligns with what you learned there.

Once you’ve done the Purgatory conversation and return to the Normandy, you’ll receive an email with the subject line “Omega: It’s time”. In it, Aria asks you to meet a Batarian named Bray at Dock 42 on the Citadel.

Travel to Widow

  • Location: Serpent Nebula – Widow – Citadel – Dock 42

Read through Aria’s message, then head back to the Citadel. When you arrive, you should see an additional menu option available. Choose “Dock 42” to trigger the mission.

At Dock 42, Aria’s right-hand man Bray brings Shepard to a skycar for a private discussion. As Aria explains, taking Omega has given Cerberus room to spread across the galaxy, and they’re doing it under the direction of a prominent military strategist: General Oleg Petrovsky—who she describes as ruthless.

During this private planning moment, you’ll also have a chance to earn Morality Points based on what you say:

  • Select “Some might say that about you” to gain +2 Paragon Points.
  • Select “Our kind of guy” to gain +2 Renegade Points.

No matter which option you pick, Aria makes it clear she’ll contribute Omega’s Element Zero and provide a fleet for Shepard’s war effort. However, she won’t let you bring your squad along, citing her personal objections to them.

With the conversation over, the ride ends and the game automatically returns you to the Normandy.
