Reanimal DLC The Prisoner Shadowdrops Live After THQ Nordic Showcase 2026
Tarsier Studios used today’s THQ Nordic Showcase 2026 to deliver a two-for-one announcement for Reanimal fans: not only did it reveal the first expansion for its dark action experience, but it also confirmed a surprise shadowdrop. The DLC, The Prisoner, is now live for players.
The Prisoner shadowdropped and is available now
During the showcase, Tarsier Studios positioned The Prisoner as the first of three planned expansions for Reanimal. The release came immediately, making this the opening chapter in a longer story built around the new duo introduced in the DLC.
New characters, familiar setting with fresh nightmares
The Prisoner adds two new playable characters: the Soldier and the Prisoner. Players will revisit a place that should feel recognizable, but now it’s been devastated by war—setting the stage for additional nightmares that await the protagonists.
The expansion blends brand-new areas with returns to known locations, with each stop designed to hide additional surprises. Tarsier also promises new dangers and a horror-heavy atmosphere that matches Reanimal’s tone, while keeping cooperative play front and center.
Co-op confirmed, plus support for “the familiar pass”
The DLC can be played in co-op again, and the developers also included details about a “familiar pass,” indicating there’s a way for existing players to access the added content.
Pricing on Steam and Microsoft Store
The Prisoner is listed at 45 zł on Steam and 45.99 zł in the Microsoft Store.
First chapter of a three-part DLC plan
The Prisoner marks the first of three planned DLC releases. All three expansions are intended to continue the story involving the Soldier and the Prisoner, meaning today’s shadowdrop is only the start of the broader arc.
