Reacher Season 4 Drops Aug 12, Neagley Spin-Off Hits Next Month
Prime Video has locked in release timing for both Reacher Season 4 and its upcoming spin-off, Neagley, giving fans a clear calendar for when Jack Reacher’s world (and Frances Neagley’s) will be back.
Release dates for Reacher Season 4 and Neagley
-
Reacher Season Four arrives on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
-
Like earlier seasons, the new run begins with the first three episodes.
-
After that, Prime will roll out one new episode each week.
-
The season continues through Wednesday, September 16.
-
On September 16, Neagley will also premiere on Prime with all eight episodes released at once, timed to coincide with the Reacher Season 4 finale.
Prime also shared a set of still images for Neagley and provided a short premise overview. If you’re new to the franchise—or simply want a refresher before jumping in—Frances Neagley is a former military police officer who now works as a private investigator in Chicago. She previously served as a protégé of Jack Reacher while both were part of the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit.
What Neagley will focus on
In the spin-off, Neagley takes on a high-stakes case tied to someone from her past. That person has been killed in what’s described as a suspicious accident, and Neagley digs into the circumstances surrounding it.
The series brings back Maria Sten as Frances Neagley. Greyston Holt plays Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph is Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones portrays Keno, Matthew Del Negro takes the role of Pierce Woodrow, and Damon Herriman appears as Lawrence Cole. Alan Ritchson will also show up as Reacher in the spin-off.
Prime has clarified that Neagley is not adapted from a specific Reacher novel. That means book readers don’t need to worry about a particular story being removed from the original source line and repurposed for the show.
Reacher is renewed again—and Season 4 details
Prime Video has already confirmed that its action drama has been renewed for a fifth season. The streamer also highlighted performance from the third season: during its first 19 days on the service, Reacher Season 3 pulled in 54.6 million viewers worldwide. Prime says that result makes it the most-watched season on the platform since the first season of Fallout, measured over the same time window.
At this time, it hasn’t been revealed which novel will serve as the foundation for Reacher Season 5. However, Reacher Season 4 is based on the series’ 13th book, Gone Tomorrow, which was published in 2009.
Separately, Ritchson also has a new film on the way: Motor City. The movie stars Shailene Woodley, Pablo Schreiber, and Ben Foster, and it’s set to arrive in cinemas in July.
