Rayman Legends Retold Physical Launch Edition Sold for One Day Only

Ubisoft France says the physical “limited launch edition” of Rayman Legends Retold will be available in shops for just a single day, and in “limited quantities,” raising the odds that the best boxed version could be tough to grab once the game hits.

Rayman Legends Retold’s limited launch edition: one day only

Taking the “launch edition” idea literally

As highlighted by Twitter user RaymanForSmash and initially surfaced by Nintenderos, Ubisoft France recently shared a preview of Rayman Legends Retold’s launch edition. The physical package includes a distinctive retail box, a map of the Glade of Dreams, three lithographs, and an exclusive Hoodlum Havoc skin pack.

Like every edition of Rayman Legends Retold, the launch version also bundles Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition.

Alongside the unboxing video, Ubisoft France reiterated details in a follow-up post, emphasizing that the launch edition will be sold for “one day” and in “limited quantities.” The restriction is specifically tied to the launch edition itself; the standard edition will be handled like a typical release and sold more broadly.

Even with that clarification, it still sounds like the most desirable way to buy Rayman Legends Retold in physical form may be harder to find around launch—particularly once shoppers begin to lock in copies. At the moment, it appears the item is still widely available, but stock levels can change quickly, especially if buyers believe this could be the last Rayman disc release.

Where the remake spotlight lands next

It’s been a long stretch since Rayman fans had much to get excited about, and 2026 is shaping up to be a major year for the limbless hero. The lineup includes the 30th Anniversary Edition of the original game that kicked things off, plus a full remake of one of Rayman’s best-regarded adventures—an effort that’s hoped to spark a fresh era for the series.

Beyond the return itself, there’s also a sense that Ubisoft is putting real effort behind the comeback. A key example is that physical launch edition for Legends Retold, which Ubisoft is positioning as something that many players may struggle to find after release.
