Palworld 1.0 Is Live: Full Patch Notes and Release Details Unpacked
Pocketpair has published a wide-ranging set of updates for Palworld version 1.0, and the release is now live across every platform the game supports. The jump to full release follows a two-year stretch in early access, during which the open-world crafting game quickly became one of the most talked-about survival titles around.
Alongside the rollout details, Pocketpair also reiterated its official position on using generative AI in game development, laying out the central reasoning behind that stance.
Palworld’s 1.0 Launch Is Finally Here
Palworld had previously indicated that its 1.0 patch notes were going to be enormous—so large, in fact, that the early draft reportedly filled 27 pages in PDF form. With that context, it’s no surprise the final change list reads like a proper overhaul. In the official Palworld 1.0 patch notes, Pocketpair details multiple system-level adjustments, including the addition of 72 new Pals. The update also introduces two major new areas: Sunreach and the World Tree.
Sunreach is described as a collection of floating islands situated to the east of Feybreak Island. It’s positioned as a region packed with new discoveries, both in terms of additional Pals and fresh crafting materials players can go after. Meanwhile, the World Tree is presented as a mystery players can reach only after clearing major challenges. Specifically, once players defeat the eight tower bosses scattered across Palworld’s Palpagos Islands, they can then access the World Tree, a feature that had been teased since the game’s early access days.
Beyond new content, Pocketpair also refreshed how missions and the story progression work in Palworld 1.0. Tower boss encounters were updated as well: each boss now has revised arenas, new or adjusted animations, and a reduced time limit. The battle cap was shortened from 10 minutes down to just five, tightening fights and changing how players approach each tower run.
