In this Walkthrough, we’ll guide you through the mission objectives with suggestions on how to approach situations and Collectibles you can find along the way.

How to Start The Observatory

After you defeat Hornigold, you’ll need to travel to Charlotte to mark coordinates 489,232. When you arrive, Roberts is already there, waiting to meet you.

Walkthrough: Reaching the Observatory

1. Follow Adewale and enter Long Bay.
2. Head southeast toward the waterfall.
3. Take a left, then move north while using treetops and platforms to steer clear of enemies.
4. Move east along the route until you find a dead body.
5. Stay on that path to reach the beach area with three people tied up on poles.
6. Synchronize the Viewpoint at the northern end of the beach.
7. Jump down from the Viewpoint and continue forward.
8. At this point you’ll be operating solo, since Adewale returns to the Jackdaw.
9. Head east from the bodies and go under the rock toward the waterfall.
10. Follow the cave route upward, then push toward the top of the southern section of the cave.
11. On the right side, enter the alcove to locate a chest.
12. Sneak through the southeast area, waiting for guards to shift positions before passing through.
13. Continue around to the next area as you advance.
14. Eliminate the guard on the upper ledge.
15. Jump across the trees to the west.
16. Knock out the guard near the cooking pot.
17. Continue north up the path and cross the bridge close to the waterfall.
18. Take down the patrolling guard here, loot the chest, then move southwest.

Optional Collectibles Before You Proceed

When the game prompts you to follow Roberts, it’s still worth checking the southeast area first. Synchronize the Viewpoint there, then look for a Data File and Mayan Stelae in the southwest corner.

Enter the Observatory and Place the Chest

1. Once you’re ready, head southwest with Roberts.
2. Roberts will open the Observatory.
3. Pick up the chest as requested.
4. Follow Roberts inside.
5. As you place the chest, you’ll see what Roberts wants to show you.

Exit the Observatory

1. To leave, climb the stone blocks back up to the top.
2. Go north and climb the rubble.
3. Jump, then climb the wall on the right side.
4. Eject back to the wall behind you and keep following it around.
5. Leap to the final climbable wall section in the northwest.
6. Once you reach the top, you’ll come out outside.

Finish the Mission

Head north along the path and handle the group waiting for you. After the confrontation ends, the mission completes, and you’ll be back in Port Royal in 1720.
