Nickelodeon Announces Slime-Fueled San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Outdoor Fun

Nickelodeon is set to make a splash at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, bringing fans a full lineup of slime-forward experiences that stretch from the convention hall to the surrounding outdoor community space.

At the event, attendees can stop by Nick’s Fun-Ergy Factory at booth number 4113 on the convention center floor. The network is promising visitors a hands-on setup featuring “interactive challenges, immersive moments and must-share photo opportunities” drawn from several of its most recognizable franchises, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Nickelodeon will also be rolling out a large outdoor activation called “Fun Flows Here” at The New Children’s Museum’s park, located at 200 W. Island Ave. This multi-activity experience is free for the public on Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26.

Inside the convention center: “Fun-Ergy Factory”

  • Fans team up to create “fun-ergy” by completing interactive challenges that build toward a final playful moment: a slime-themed Slime Surge that stands nearly 20 feet tall.
  • “Enter the Splat” offers a tactile, fully immersive environment where people can step directly into Nickelodeon’s signature world to grab unexpected photo and video moments.
  • Visitors can “Enter the World of TMNT” with a sewer lair photo opportunity set alongside the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
  • There will be retail offerings, including TMNT x G.I. Joe collectible figures, a BossLogic x Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Character limited edition art print, and the Avatar: The Last Airbender – Book 3: Fire (Music from the Animated Series) vinyl soundtrack album.   • Talent and character appearances, along with daily giveaways.
  • “Enter the Splat” is again listed as the tactile, fully immersive photo-and-video environment where attendees can step into Nickelodeon’s world.
  • “Enter the World of TMNT” is also repeated, highlighting the sewer lair photo spot with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
  • Retail items are again reiterated, including the TMNT x G.I. Joe figures, the BossLogic x Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Character limited edition art print, and the Avatar: The Last Airbender – Book 3: Fire (Music from the Animated Series) vinyl album, plus talent/character appearances and daily giveaways.

Outdoor activation: “Fun Flows Here” at The New Children’s Museum park

  • An interactive stage show hosted by Kids Imagine Nation, featuring performances, games, and entertainment inspired by well-known series such as Paw Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Thundermans, and Star Trek: Scouts.
  • Photo installations designed for sharing, featuring SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Kids’ Choice Awards.
  • A signature Nickelodeon slime booth that gives select participants the chance to step inside and get drenched in the iconic green goo.
  • Family movie night on Friday, July 25, running from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, with a screening of The Spongebob Movie: Search For Squarepants.
  • Hands-on experiences including Nickelodeon Our World kids’ empowerment activities, plus make-your-own slime and bubble play for fans of all ages. The outdoor program also includes live animated character-drawing sessions, DJ sets, prize raffles, and giveaways.
  • Museum members will get an exclusive invitation to a special preview event on Thursday, July 23. Note: The New Children’s Museum will be closed to the public from July 21 through July 26, and will reopen on Monday, July 27.
