Nick Woltemade Hails Luciano Spalletti’s Impact at Juventus
Nick Woltemade believes he can take a significant step forward at Juventus after beginning work with Luciano Spalletti, describing the manager’s clarity and presence as immediately striking following his summer loan move from Newcastle.
The German forward joined the Bianconeri on loan and has already made his first appearance for the club, coming on during the second half of the 1-1 Serie A draw with AC Milan.
Woltemade impressed by Spalletti’s authority
Woltemade met Spalletti alongside his family before starting his Juventus career and said the coach made an instant impression.
“When I first met Spalletti with my family, we all had the same thought: aura,” Woltemade said. “He has enormous aura. He looks calm, but he is very clear about what he wants, both on the field and away from it.”
Spalletti has quickly begun individual work with the striker, with Woltemade convinced the relationship will help him improve during his spell in Turin.
“He is helping me a great deal and started working with me straight away to make me better,” he said. “I am sure that I will become a better player under him.”
Sassuolo offers next opportunity
After his substitute outing against Milan, Woltemade will be aiming for a place in Juventus’ starting side when they travel to Sassuolo for their next Serie A fixture.
The match offers the German attacker an early chance to build on his debut as he adapts to a new club, a new league and Spalletti’s demands.
