Meccha Chameleon keeps rolling out updates with a steady cadence, adding new content like maps, game rules, poses, and body types while also smoothing out performance and match flow. July 4, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.5.0
- Reworked the official map “Osaka.”
- Improved the resolution of the paint brush.
- Added an experimental color palette intended for upcoming controller support.
- Improved the stability of the 3D color picker.
- Fixed an issue in “Gyakusan Chicken Race” (Reverse Chicken Race) where collision detection still affected invisible players.
- Fixed an issue in “Gyakusan Chicken Race” where the painted visuals were sometimes not synchronized.

July 3, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.4.1
- Reduced the points awarded to the player who discovered the countdown in the Reverse Chicken Race, lowering it from 1000 to 500.
- Fixed a Reverse Chicken Race problem where the turn would fail to switch even if a player who left partway through was discovered.
- Adjusted UI buttons so they can no longer be focused or selected using the spacebar.

July 2, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.4.0
- Introduced a new mode: “Reverse Chicken Race.”
- In this mode, you deduce the hidden player’s identity by their body paint—find them first to earn points, while hiders can score by staying unnoticed.
- The match winner is the player with the most points.
- Let Hunters use the free camera during the answer reveal.
- Fixed a bug where starting a Mod map could cause the game to launch during an ongoing match.

July 2, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.3.2
- Added “In-place Rotation,” which can be used alongside “Rotation Lock.”
- Changed spectator behavior so it automatically switches when the current spectated target disappears.
- Fixed an issue where the nameplate display status would reset.
- Fixed a translation error on the Korean server creation screen.
- Reduced lag when a large number of players paint at the same time.

June 29, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 2.3.0
- Added ammo limits for Hunters (toggleable in options).
- 1 ammo is consumed on a miss, and 1 ammo is restored on a hit.
- No ammo is consumed when shooting at fleeing players.
- If all Hunters run out of ammo, the Hiders win.
- Increased the maximum number of server tags to 5.
- Fixed a bug where duplicate server tags could be set.
- Fixed an issue where the Body Type UI couldn’t be closed after switching to a Hunter.
- Fixed an issue where “Hunter Victory” could appear under all conditions.

- Introduced randomization for furniture and other elements in the “Hide-and-Seek Mansion” map, with the plan to extend this random element to all maps in the future.
- Added 1.4x and 1.7x size options for the character “Cube.”
- Fixed a problem where the game became unresponsive if the body type selection screen opened while in paint mode.

- You can now create clones (up to 2 clones).
- Clones contribute to blind spot metrics. If a clone is destroyed, the main body is destroyed as well.
- Added TPS view for Hunters.
- Added “Modded” to server tags.
- Added Turkish.
- Fixed an issue where the Mod requirement screen overlapped with the hidden character selection screen.

June 24, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 1.9.0
- Added the new character “Cube.”

June 20, 2026: Meccha Chameleon Patch 1.5.0
- During the answer reveal, you can now press “Like” for hidden players. It can be used once per match, and the number of “Likes” is saved permanently.
- You can no longer receive missed points while moving.
- Changed the emission color during the answer reveal window: undiscovered targets are Red, and discovered targets are Blue.
