Mass Effect 3 Priority: Perseus Veil Guide—Choices, Conversations, Outcomes
If you’re working through Mass Effect 3, the Priority: Perseus Veil mission is one of those stops where dialogue choices can directly affect your Paragon/Renegade standing—and where it’s easy to overlook optional conversations. Here’s a walkthrough-style breakdown of the guide sections for that mission, from where to go first to what to do aboard the Normandy afterward.
Key takeaways
- To start Priority: Perseus Veil, you must have completed “Priority: The Citadel 2.”
- The Quarian Envoy Ship is found in the Far Rim at Dholen, near the Mass Relay arrows.
- In the War Room, the Quarian Admiralty Board discusses their ongoing war against the Geth and the Reapers’ influence.
- Several dialogue options during the Admirals scene award either Paragon or Renegade points in specific amounts.
- After meeting the Admirals, you should leave the Galaxy Map and talk on the Normandy to gain Reputation.
Checklists
This part of the guide focuses specifically on Priority: Perseus Veil, including which dialogue lines to choose and how to avoid missing conversations during the mission.

- The Quarian Admirals
- Normandy Conversations
Travel to Quarian Envoy Ship
- Prerequisite: Complete “Priority: The Citadel 2.”
- Location: Far Rim – Dholen – Quarian Envoy Ship.
The Quarian Envoy Ship sits in the Far Rim, along the northeastern edge of the galaxy. When you open the navigation view, look for the arrow marker near the Mass Relay—selecting that point is how you begin.
The Quarian Admirals
The meeting happens in the War Room. The Quarian Admiralty Board steps in to brief you on what they’ve been dealing with, and it quickly becomes clear they’re locked in a war against the Geth as they try to reclaim their homeworld, Rannoch.
Spending Morality Points here can open up additional response options. If you choose “Tell me about your history,” you’ll get two follow-up pairs of choices. The exact wording of your responses may shift, but the totals remain consistent: you can earn +4 Paragon Points or +4 Renegade Points. After that, you can select “This was a terrible idea” for +2 Paragon Points or “Good. It’s about time” for +2 Renegade Points.
Next, the Quarians explain that not long after their attacks began, the Geth fell under Reaper control, making them far more dangerous in combat. They’re now losing ground and watching the Geth erase the Quarian fleet. The board believes the source is a transmission coming from a Geth Dreadnought, and Shepard offers to shut down that signal—at which point you’re prompted to respond.
- “Letting you retreat” grants +2 Paragon Points.
- “And then you counterattack” grants +2 Renegade Points.
If Tali survived the events of Mass Effect 2, she shows up here as the newest fifth member of the Admiralty Board. She also comments to Shepard in the Briefing Room that it’s mostly a technicality due to her age. If you romanced Tali in Mass Effect 2, this scene gives you a chance to reaffirm that relationship. If you didn’t, or if you’re not in that romance state, Tali would rather speak with you privately.
Normandy Conversations
Once you finish the Admirals meeting, you’ll be sent to the Galaxy Map—but the guide advises backing out so you can squeeze in additional conversations around the Normandy. Head to the Captain’s Cabin and use one of Shepard’s laptops to call Tali for a private chat. That call provides +2 Reputation. If you romanced Tali in Mass Effect 2, this is also where you can Lock In the Romance for Mass Effect 2.
Besides the Tali call, the guide lists other interaction spots aboard the Normandy:
- CIC – In the War Room, talk with Shala’Raan and Tali, then on the bridge talk with Joker and EDI.
- Crew Deck – Dr. Chakwas is the only person you can speak with for +5 Reputation, and only if you gave her the Serrice Ice Brandy in Mass Effect 2.
- Engineering – Javik offers a brief comment.
- Shuttle Bay – When you enter, you can overhear a conversation between Cortez and James.
