Mass Effect 3: Aria Blood Pack Guide—Choices, Combat Tips, and Walkthrough

Aria: Blood Pack is one of the side missions in Mass Effect 3 tied to Omega’s leadership, and it revolves around handling a high-profile criminal situation on the Citadel. This guide-style walkthrough breaks down where to go, what to do during each conversation, how to approach the combat and security parts safely, and which dialogue choices affect your Paragon and Renegade scores—along with the rewards you can earn.

Travel to Widow

  • Prerequisite: Complete “Priority: Palaven”
  • Location: Serpent Nebula – Widow – Citadel – Purgatory

After you finish “Priority: Palaven,” this Side Mission becomes available. That milestone unlocks every area of the Citadel for exploration. The Citadel serves as the galaxy’s central hub and is always shown in the western region of the Milky Way.

Meet Aria T’Loak

To start Aria: Blood Pack, go to the Purgatory bar on the Citadel. Enter the building, go up the first set of small stairs, then turn right. You’ll find Aria T’Loak—Omega’s top figure—someone Commander Shepard also crossed paths with in Mass Effect 2. Aria’s current situation, however, is rough, and Purgatory fits that decline about as well as her old Afterlife bar did back in the second game. When the conversation begins, reply with one of the following:

  • “But you’re alive” for +2 Paragon Points.
  • “Payback is hell” for +2 Renegade Points.

Once you’ve responded, Aria will offer three new Side Missions: “Aria: Eclipse,” “Aria: Blood Pack,” and “Aria: Blue Suns.” At this point, you can also choose additional dialogue:

  • “Those gangs are scum” for +2 Paragon Points.
  • “Whatever it takes” for +2 Renegade Points.

While this walkthrough focuses on “Aria: Eclipse,” speaking with Aria still grants the Terminus Fleet War Asset worth 50 TMS.

Talk to Commander Bailey

For the Side Mission proper, head to the Citadel Embassies and enter Commander Bailey’s office. Bailey reacts with surprise that Shepard is involved and explains that Jona Sederis is a clear public threat if she’s released. Your response options are:

  • “Let me see her” for +2 Paragon Points and continue the Side Mission.
  • “Release her immediately” for +2 Renegade Points to end it right away.

No matter which option you choose, Bailey remains unmoved even if you’re a Spectre, and he insists you meet the Eclipse leader yourself before he’ll consider releasing her.

Meet Jona Sederis

To keep going, travel to the Presidium Commons and head to the C-Sec Outpost on the eastern side of the area. It’s marked with a 5 on the map. Once you’re there, speak with the C-Sec Assistant, who will arrange a call to the Eclipse leader. During the conversation, Sederis brings up that she hasn’t forgotten how Shepard killed many of her people in the previous installment. You can answer with:

  • “Leave it in the past” for +2 Paragon Points.
  • “Don’t threaten me” for +2 Renegade Points.

Sederis insists she has everything under control, but she also mentions her second in command, Sayn. She claims he’s too cowardly to challenge her. Shepard then calls Commander Bailey, and Bailey agrees that Jona is completely insane—arguing it would be reckless to let her out. After that, you’ll be given another choice:

  • “I’ll find another solution” to continue the Side Mission.
  • “It doesn’t matter” to release her immediately, concluding the Side Mission for +5 Renegade Points.

If you chose to release Sederis, check the checkbox shown below to record your progress. You’ll earn 210 XP, 5,000 credits, and +50 TMS to the Terminus Fleet that you received earlier by talking to Aria.

If you decided to pursue another approach, don’t check the box. Instead, skip down to the next section.

Meet Sayn

POSSIBLE BUG WARNING

After this conversation, DON’T SAVE and DON’T TALK with anyone. Just GO to the elevator scanners. The Side Mission’s rewards won’t be granted until you pass through the security scanners, where the rewards will appear on-screen.

For Paragon-focused players who need the alternate solution, you’ll talk to Sederis’s second-in-command, Sayn. He can be found in the Docks: Holding Area, specifically in Cargo Hold: A (again, marked with a 5 on the map screen).

At first, Sayn is suspicious of Shepard, but once you calm him down, he admits that the plan to break Sederis out of C-Sec was his idea—meaning the responsibility is on him. From there, you can push him to take Sederis’s place by choosing one of the following:

  • “You don’t need Sederis” for +2 Paragon Points.
  • “Then you kill her” for +2 Renegade Points.

Either way, you’ll receive 210 XP, 5,000 Credits, and the Terminus Fleet War Asset is strengthened by +50 TMS. However, these rewards won’t pop up immediately; they only appear once you leave the area and Bailey contacts Shepard.
