Lovely Hellplace Launches Tactical RPG Entropy on Steam Early Access Today

Lovely Hellplace’s promising tactical RPG Entropy is launching into Steam Early Access today, debuting first on PC with a release time set for 19:00 Polish time. The studio says the year-long Early Access period is meant to polish the game before a full 1.0 release, and it also plans to proceed with the final version regardless of how the title performs during the initial sales window.

Entropy will be available exclusively on PC at launch, even though the studio’s earlier project eventually made its way to consoles as well—so a similar path is possible later on. On Steam, the game will unlock at 19:00 Polish time.

The Early Access run is scheduled to last one year. The developers have framed this as the best way to refine the overall experience before the full release. They also state they already have the funding to complete development through to version 1.0, meaning the final launch is not contingent on Early Access sales.

For now, there will be no Polish language localization.

Tactical turn-based RPG with retro influences

Entropy is a turn-based tactical RPG, designed around both combat decisions and storytelling. The game’s structure and presentation draw inspiration from 32-bit Japanese RPGs, while its fantasy setting—centered on a dying world—takes strong cues from the novel series Pieśni Umierającej Ziemi.

Players looking closely at the studio have two main reasons for optimism. First, Lovely Hellplace previously developed Dread Delusion, a retro-styled RPG that has 90% positive reviews on Steam. Second, a playable demo of Entropy remains available on Steam and is being positioned as proof that the game is aiming to deliver something genuinely fresh for RPG fans.

Low PC requirements for a retro-styled release

Built with a retro approach inspired by the 1990s, Entropy targets very modest hardware. The studio has listed the following minimum requirements for the PC version:
