How to Unlock the “Yes, Chef” Quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, the quest “Yes, Chef” is a great next step once you’re deep into your friendship with Usahana. It pushes you to craft your own cooking setup and then use it right away, so you can move on to the next stage of the story with hands-on progress.

Unlock “Yes, Chef”

“Yes, Chef” unlocks after you hit Best Friends status at Friendship Level 35 with Usahana in City Town. To reach that level, you can give her favorite gifts—Rainbow Dango is one example that helps you climb.

You’ll also need to finish Usahana’s earlier Friendship Quests up through “Signature Savvy.”

Make a Chef’s Station

After you’re confirmed as best friends, talk to Usahana. You can usually find her in one of these spots in City Town:

  • At the entrance to the City Town Dock in the center of town, near Rainbow Tower on the west side of City Town
  • Just outside the Imagination Cafe

Usahana explains she wants to teach you how to build a Chef’s Station of your own. She then hands you the Chef’s Station Crafting Plans, and directs you to craft the station at any Crafting Station.

Chef’s Station crafting requirements

To build your Chef’s Station, you’ll need:

  • City Coin x 100 — City Coins come from serving customers at the Imagination Cafe. The higher the Cafe Level, the more Coins you earn per order.
  • Ingot x 10 — Each Ingot is crafted using 3 Iron Ore. Iron Ore can be found around Gemstone Mountain and Mount Hothead. You can also receive Ingots as rewards from playing the Crane Craze or Gem Match mini-games.
  • Spark x 5 — Each Spark is crafted using 3 Light Stone. The quest also notes that Kuromi’s return gift is used in this Spark crafting requirement.

Use your Chef’s Station to finish “Yes, Chef”

Once your Chef’s Station is crafted, talk to Usahana again. She encourages you to keep practicing by placing the station in a Visitor’s Cabin and cooking with it.

The quest wraps up at that point, with Usahana saying the next quest will have you using your new Station “lots and lots!”
