To start Beneath the Lunar Sea in Genshin Impact, you’ll need to find the scared Kuuhenki located on the isle north of the Curtain-Form Blackbody Containment Lab. Clear out the sphere enemy that roams beneath it, then follow the Kuuhenki back toward the lab entrance. Getting to the correct doorway is the key step that moves the quest forward.
How To Explore The Facility Interior In Genshin Impact
Exploring the interior of the facility requires a fairly specific sequence of interactions. Start by applying these steps:
- Push the Ancient Moon Pearl toward the Pearl Power Station platform on the wall.
- Move behind the now-unlocked door.
- Drop down toward the Moon Energy Pearls.
- Collect some Archaeolume Energy.
- Jump and glide to reach the northern platform.
- From the central doorway, turn left.
- Enter behind the cracked wall.
- Defeat the enemies inside to free the jellyfish.
- Absorb additional energy.
- Fire the Ripples at the Back-Up Power Generator.
- Absorb Archaeolume Energy again.
- Direct the effect toward the stacked stones near the jellyfish.
Once you complete that chain, the lift activates and brings the Material Storage Chest down. Open the chest to spawn the Moon Pearl Launcher, then continue with the next set of actions:
- Absorb Archaeolume Energy.
- Go close to the launcher and jump.
- Use your Archaeolume Ripples to target the Archaeolume Energy Barrier in the ceiling above the launcher.
- Shoot it to create an opening.
- Wait for the Ancient Moon Pearls to fall.
- Push one Pearl toward the launcher.
- Activate the launcher to send the Pearl closer to the Pearl Power Station near the door.
- Follow it—either by using the Moon Pearl Launcher or by moving there on foot.
- Roll the Moon Pearl into the empty Power Station.
Afterward, the door will unlock and you’ll be able to access the Containment Lab tree. Head up to it and interact with the Terminal to start the Moontide Sea exploration system, which is what ultimately completes the Beneath the Lunar Sea quest in Genshin Impact.
