How to Unlock and Craft Wooden Boards in Palworld (Level 15 Guide)

You can build Wooden Boards in Palworld from the comfort of your home base by first grabbing the Wooden Boards blueprint in the Technology tree, then crafting them at a Workbench. To access the Wooden Boards tech recipe, you’ll need to be at least level 15. Since the process takes time—especially if you’re starting from scratch—it helps to have Pal companions that are good at manual work handling the crafting grind at your base.

If you’re fed up with seeing your sick Pals struggle around your base, here’s a guide-style reminder that covers the medicine you’ll need to cure them in Palworld.

How to Unlock Wooden Boards in Palworld

Wooden Boards are used for several higher-tier constructions in Palworld—including buildings such as the Weapons Workbench. Unlocking the recipe is straightforward: open your Technology tab, scroll down to the level 15 tier, and spend your Technology Points to get it. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to craft Wooden Boards at your workstations.

Keep in mind that Wooden Boards are not the same as High Quality Wooden Boards. High Quality variants are intended for players at level 43 and higher, and they also demand more advanced crafting materials to produce.

As a quick refresher, you earn Technology Points when you level up. You can also gain extra tech points by finding and using certain manuals, so you don’t always have to rely solely on leveling. These Technology Points are separate from Ancient Technology Points, which are only usable on the purple blueprints found in the Technology tree.

How to Craft Wooden Boards

Once you unlock the Wooden Boards recipe, it becomes available on any of your Workbenches. You can even produce them on the Primitive Workbench, though it’s still a good idea to craft on the most advanced workstation you have access to. To craft Wooden Boards in Palworld, you’ll need:

  • 10 Wood
  • 5 Fiber
  • 1 Nail

Wood and Fiber come from cutting down trees. Nails, however, are crafted on a workbench using Ingots, and those Ingots are made from Ores that you process in a Furnace.

When you harvest trees, you’ll get both Wood and Fiber. By contrast, Logging Sites only provide Wood. If you want to automate Fiber output at your base, you’ll need to set up a Crusher and configure it to produce Fibers.

If you want to speed up Wooden Boards production (or any similarly processed material), set up a Production Assembly Line somewhere in your base. These assembly lines act like scaled-up, faster workbenches, but they do require Power. You’ll generate that Power using Power Generators, and you’ll need Electric Pals to operate the generators.
