How to Start Usahana’s “Practice Makes Perfect” Quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

“Practice Makes Perfect” is a Friendship Quest for Usahana in Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s City Town. The quest becomes available the moment you finish “Yes, Chef”, which in turn requires reaching Best Friends with Usahana at Friendship Level 35.

Where to Find Usahana and What to Cook

To start making progress, talk to Usahana. Depending on the time you check, she can be near the City Town Dock in the town center, positioned outside the Rainbow Tower (west side of town), or standing just outside the Imagination Cafe.

Usahana acknowledges that you’re using the Chef’s Station you crafted during “Yes, Chef”, but she still wants you to get more practice. She’ll offer another Chef’s Station if you prepare specific foods for her.

Important counting rules:

  • Only items cooked after the quest begins will count toward your total.
  • Any items you cooked before the quest started will not count.

Even though Usahana asks you to practice with the Chef’s Station you built in the prior quest, you can also use the Chef’s Station inside the Imagination Cafe.

Quest Checklist: Required Foods and Quantities

Usahana will count your cooking toward the objective once you prepare the following amounts. For ingredients labeled “Any Ingredient,” you’ll want to follow the Imagination Cafe guide to confirm which ingredients are valid for the recipes you’re making.

  • Any Mochi x 100
    • Rice Flour x 100 — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice (Usahana’s return gift)
    • Any Ingredient x 100 — see the Imagination Cafe guide for which items can be used
  • Any Dango x 100
    • Stick x 100 — found in the Seaside Resort, Gemstone Mountain, and Snow Village; earned by catching Clamfish
    • Any Mochi x 300
      • Rice Flour x 300 — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice (Usahana’s return gift)
      • Any Ingredient x 300 — see the Imagination Cafe guide for which items can be used
  • Any Boba Tea x 100
    • Tea Leaves x 100 — purchased at the Imagination Cafe Computer using City Coins
    • Any Ingredient x 100 — see the Imagination Cafe guide for which items can be used
    • Optional additions include Tapioca, Honeycomb, or Coral Milk, but it’s recommended you skip them during this quest to keep ingredient usage as low as possible.

Additional checklist items also include the base components and sub-requirements used within those recipes:

  • Rice Flour x 100 — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice (Usahana’s return gift)
  • Any Ingredient x 100 — see the Imagination Cafe guide for which items can be used
  • Stick x 100 — found in the Seaside Resort, Gemstone Mountain, and Snow Village; rewarded for catching Clamfish
  • Any Mochi x 300
    • Rice Flour x 300 — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice (Usahana’s return gift)
    • Any Ingredient x 300 — see the Imagination Cafe guide for which items can be used
  • Rice Flour x 300 — made at the Chef’s Station using Rice (Usahana’s return gift)
  • Any Ingredient x 300 — see the Imagination Cafe guide for which items can be used
  • Tea Leaves x 100 — purchased at the Imagination Cafe Computer using City Coins
  • Any Ingredient x 100 — see the Imagination Cafe guide for which items can be used
  • As with the Boba Tea requirement, it’s recommended you avoid adding Tapioca, Honeycomb, or Coral Milk during this quest to reduce how many ingredients you need.

Easy Ingredient Sources and How Completion Works

If you’re trying to make this quest easier on your inventory, the guide highlights several straightforward ingredient options:

  • Return-gift foods from characters — including Tofu, Strawberry, Candy Cloud, Banana, Tofu, and Flour
  • Apples — these grow in large amounts in the Spooky Swamp, and you can also win them by playing the “Bogging for Apples” mini-game
  • Fruits from Keroppi’s Orchard — you can harvest them in large quantities. If you’ve finished every quest tied to the Orchard, you’ll have multiple fruit trees that generate fruit each day

Once you cook everything required, the quest completes automatically. You don’t need to return to Usahana to finish it.

As your reward, you’ll receive a second Chef’s Station. Place it wherever you want—either in any Visitor Cabin or inside a City Town Apartment.
