Hogwarts Legacy Demiguise Statues Guide: Find Locations and Unlock Spells

Hogwarts Legacy’s Demiguise Statues are the kind of collectibles that quietly steer your progress: you can spot them early, but you can’t actually use them until you earn the right spell. Once you do, each statue becomes a step toward better lockpicking—letting you break into more chests, rooms, and areas throughout Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and the surrounding Highlands.

Why this Demiguise guide matters for players

If you’re trying to collect all 30 Demiguise Statues, you need two things at once: the exact places to look and the knowledge of when they’re obtainable. Many statues are visible ahead of time but remain off-limits until you learn Alohomora, and several are tucked behind doors that only open at higher ranks. This guide is built around a region-by-region checklist approach, with notes on where each statue sits, what kind of lock (if any) blocks access, and the order you can realistically clear them in as you move through the game.

It also covers every version of Hogwarts Legacy, including the original PC release, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch—so the statue logic and lock requirements are consistent across platforms.

  • Demiguise Statues can’t be interacted with until you learn the Alohomora spell.
  • Statues only become collectible when they’re shimmering at night.
  • Learning higher Alohomora ranks requires specific totals of Demiguise Moons.
  • Many statues are behind locked doors, so your spell rank determines what you can reach.

How Alohomora upgrades are tied to Demiguise Moons

Even if you notice a few Demiguise Statues early in the world, none of them are interactable until you learn Alohomora. You’ll obtain the spell from the groundskeeper, Mr. Moon, after you complete Percival Rackham’s Trial and the season shifts to fall. When that happens, Mr. Moon will request your help and teach you how to unlock locked obstacles.

The introductory quest is called The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament. During it, you’re guided to locate three Demiguise Statues around Hogwarts Castle. These three are not counted toward your tracked total, and the reward is limited: you only receive one Demiguise Moon to trade to Mr. Moon while you work toward learning stronger Alohomora versions.

Once you complete those three items, the real Demiguise grind begins. To progress the spell ranks, you must collect:

  • 9 Demiguise Moons to learn Alohomora Rank 2.
  • 13 additional Demiguise Moons to learn Alohomora Rank 3 (you may initially be told to bring nine, but once you turn them in, you’ll be asked for four more to reach the full 13).

All Demiguise Statue locations, organized by region

Across the game, Demiguise Statues may be sitting out in the open, or they may be concealed behind doors that require a certain Alohomora rank. The locations in this guide are grouped into Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and the Highlands and are listed in the order you can typically find them—starting with statues that don’t require lockpicking in advance.

One important rule applies to every statue: it must be night time before you can pick it up, and you can only collect statues after finishing Mr. Moon’s first quest. Even though Mr. Moon warns you about nighttime behavior, you don’t need to worry about curfew or patrols after his quest. For more collectibles beyond statues, the guide also directs players to a Hogwarts Legacy map.

Hogwarts Demiguise Statue locations

Hogwarts Castle contains 10 Demiguise Statues in total, and some of them require a particular Alohomora level to reach.

Professor Fig’s Office

This statue is easy to notice early because it sits prominently in Professor Fig’s Office inside the Defence Against Dark Arts Tower in the Astronomy Wing. Use Professor Fig’s Floo Flame to enter the office behind the classroom at night, then grab the Demiguise Statue from a desk at the rear of the room.

Divination Classroom

This one is also available early, though the entrance is easy to overlook. To reach it, enter the Library Annex through the Viaduct Entrance and look toward the northeast for a large spiral staircase. Go up the stairs until you reach a trap door with a ladder that drops automatically.

Climb the ladder up, then check near the back of the room for the statue tucked away out of sight.

Restricted Section Library

You can likely spot this statue well before you can collect it, since you’ll pass by it when the story takes you into the Restricted Section of the Library within the Library Annex area.

After you gain the ability to claim it, return to the library and enter the Restricted Section, which should no longer be guarded even at night. Head down to the lowest level of the Restricted Section and move through the rooms until you reach the corridor leading toward the storage area past an Eyeball Statue. The Demiguise Statue is on a small end table near the door.

Great Hall room

This statue is one of the earlier ones hidden behind a locked door in Hogwarts, but Mr. Moon’s quest is what grants you access. Travel to the Great Hall dining room and look for a level 1 locked door in the southwest corner near where the professors sit.

Once unlocked, the statue is located in the room alongside a Collection Chest you can also collect.

South Wing bathroom

Go to the Faculty Tower in the South Wing, then descend the stairs to the ground floor of Gryffindor Tower. Walk through the hall until you reach the locked bathroom where Peeves is said to cause trouble, then unlock it using Alohomora.

Inside, open each bathroom stall. One of them hides a crawlspace that leads into the boiler room, and the Demiguise Statue is found there.

North Hall dungeons

Start from the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame, travel south into the North Hall, then go down the stairs into the dungeons. Climb down and pass the sleeping dragon statue until you reach two locked doors—one has a level 1 lock and a makeshift drawbridge.

Enter the Muggle Studies Classroom, then immediately turn right and look at the side of the door. The statue is tucked into the corner, waiting to be added to your collection.

Bell Tower ramparts

This statue is another early one locked behind a door on the Hogwarts Grounds, with access opened after Mr. Moon’s quest. Leave from the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame and head west toward the ramparts gate. Check along the right side of the ramparts wall for a locked door located under a staircase.

Open it with Alohomora, and inside you’ll find another Demiguise Statue.

Long Gallery

This statue requires Alohomora Level 2, meaning you’ll need to collect enough Demiguise Moons first to learn the next rank. From the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame, turn around and unlock the level 1 door leading into the Long Gallery that connects to the Library Annex.

About halfway down the hall, there’s a level 2 door on the right. Unlock it to find the Demiguise Statue inside.

Defence Against Dark Arts Tower

Return to the ground floor of the Defence Against Dark Arts Tower in the Astronomy Wing. As soon as you enter the main doors, look for a level 2 locked door with a chatty gargoyle perched beside it.

Unlock the door and head into the storage room area where the Demiguise Statue is located, alongside a Boggart Cupboard Field Guide Page.

Beasts classroom area

You can find this statue not long after completing the Demiguise Quest for Mr. Moon, and after your first main lesson for Beasts Class. The location is outside the Bell Tower Wing along the Hogwarts Grounds, southwest of the courtyard, in a large outdoor shack.

Pick any of the level 2 doors to enter the building that includes Professor Howin’s office and residence area. The Demiguise Statues are stored in the bedroom on a table across from the door.

Hogsmeade Demiguise Statue locations

In Hogsmeade, there are 9 Demiguise Statues total. Some of them require Alohomora at a specific rank to reach.

Tomes and Scrolls

You may spot this statue before you can take it, since it’s inside a shopkeeper’s home you’ll meet on your first trip to Hogsmeade. When you enter the village from the southern bridge, go left to find the Tomes and Scrolls shop and wait until night to enter.

The owner doesn’t stop you from exploring after hours. Go behind Thomas Brown’s counter and into his bedroom, where the Demiguise Statue glows on a dresser at night.

Hog’s Head Inn

This statue is visible before you can collect it because it’s out in the open at the Hog’s Head Inn. You can find the inn on the far northwestern edge of Hogsmeade, west of the West Hogsmeade Floo Flame.

After entering, walk behind the counter into the back room on the right. In the small passage that leads toward a door to the docks, you’ll see the glowing Demiguise Statue sitting on a stack of crates.

Dervish and Bangs

Another early-access statue can be seen right away because it sits in the open inside the building that houses both Gladrags Wizardwear and Dervish and Bangs. Look for it in central Hogsmeade Square, west of the North Hogsmeade Floo Flame.

Once inside either entrance, you’ll find the Demiguise Statue on the main counter on the Dervish and Bangs side of the shop, next to an enchanted smithing hammer striking away.

Three Broomsticks

This statue is hidden behind a locked door early on, but Mr. Moon’s quest is what gives you the ability to get in. It’s located at the Three Broomsticks run by Sirona Ryan.

Travel to the pub in the middle of Hogsmeade down the main street. Climb the narrow staircases inside to the top floor, where you’ll find a level 1 locked door you can unlock with Alohomora.

Inside, the Demiguise Statue is in the small bedroom area on a central table, next to a Field Guide Page and a Collection Chest.

Spire Street house

This statue is also early but locked behind a door until you finish Mr. Moon’s quest. It’s inside a locked house on Spire Street.

Find a small tall building just east of the Three Broomsticks. Take the southern road that runs past the pub, unlock the lock with Alohomora, and collect the Demiguise Statue from the cramped floor above.

Northern River’s Edge home

This one follows the same pattern: it’s behind a locked house door that becomes reachable after Mr. Moon’s quest. It’s in a home at the river’s edge near the northern part of Hogsmeade.

Look for a solitary building across from the Brood and Peck animal shop above Central Hogsmeade Square. Use Alohomora on the level 1 lock on the door by the water. Inside, the Demiguise Statue sits on a mantle above the fireplace near the entrance.

Easternmost house

This statue is behind a locked house on the far eastern edge of Hogsmeade, becoming accessible after Mr. Moon’s quest. Run behind the big Honeydukes Sweet Shop to locate two smaller houses behind it, then approach the northern-most of the two and unlock its level 1 door.

Inside, the Demiguise Statue is displayed on a table under a portrait of a wizard.

Lower High Street

One of two Hogsmeade statues that require Alohomora Rank 2, this Demiguise Statue can’t be reached until you’ve already found 9 Demiguise Statues elsewhere. It’s hidden on the corner of Hog’s Head Street between the Tomes and Scrolls shop and Ollivander’s Wand Shop.

Look for a home on a small street that leads toward the Hog’s Head Inn and has a level 2 lock. Use Alohomora Rank 2 to enter; the Demiguise Statue is on the second floor tucked away out of sight.

Western River’s Edge home

The second Hogsmeade statue that needs Alohomora Rank 2 is located on the western side of Hogsmeade along the River’s Edge. Find the house just to the right of Pippin’s Potions Shop, north of the West Hogsmeade Floo Flame.

Unlock it with Alohomora rank 2 to gain entry. The Demiguise Statue is on the top floor by the bed.

The Highlands Demiguise Statue locations

There are 11 Demiguise Statues in the open world regions of The Highlands. As with the other areas, some require a specific Alohomora rank before you can obtain them.

South Hogsfield

You can get this Demiguise Statue as soon as you’ve started Mr. Moon’s quest to collect more Demiguise Moons. It doesn’t require unlocking any doors, so it’s possible to run into it early without realizing what you’ve found.

It’s located at the hamlet of South Hogsfield, south along the road from Hogwarts—where the main story sends you toward your first Merlin Trial.

At the hamlet, find the larger unlocked home on the north side and step inside. When you turn around, the Demiguise Statue is placed on the floor by the front door.

Aranshire

This statue is found in Aranshire, a hamlet east across the giant lake from Hogwarts. It sits inside a home with a level 1 lock, so you must complete Mr. Moon’s initial quest before you can reach it.

Enter the hamlet and go into the farthest house to the north within the small village. Unlock the door, then climb to the second floor where the Demiguise Statue is tucked away.

Upper Hogsfield

Located in Upper Hogsfield, this statue sits due north of Hogsmeade Village, but you need the Alohomora unlocking spell before you can reach it. Once you have it, scan the central road for a building in the middle of the hamlet.

From the road toward the larger building with barrels inside, unlock the door. Inside, there’s a Collection Chest hidden behind a thin wall, and the Demiguise Statue stands in front of it.

Pitt-Upon-Ford

This Demiguise location doesn’t require unlocking spells, but it does require knowing where to look. The statue is far north in North Ford Bog, at the northernmost hamlet of Pitt-Upon-Ford. That hamlet is just west of the large San Bakar’s Tower, which is easy to spot from the air.

Once you arrive, head northwest across the left side of the river. Look for a solitary tall house south of the Floo Flame with a red carriage outside. The doors are unlocked, so you can enter whenever you want.

Climb to the very top of the tall house, and the Demiguise Statue is in the corner of the loft next to the bed.

Brocburrow

Again, no unlocking spell is required here, but location awareness is. Travel to the far eastern side of Hogwarts Valley and find the small hamlet nestled in the hills called Brocburrow.

When you arrive, locate the Floo Flame and walk west until you reach the Merlin Trial platform in the middle of the village. Just northwest across from the Merlin Trial is a small unlocked house where your prize awaits.

Enter without trouble, then turn around after going through the door. The Demiguise Statue is along a floor shelf that’s easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention.

Keenbridge

This statue is in the hamlet of Keenbridge in the center of Hogwarts Valley, alongside the main river flowing from the great lake. You need at least Alohomora Level 1 to reach it because it’s hidden behind a locked door.

From the Keenbridge Floo Flame, go west through the hamlet square past the shopkeeper Fatimah. Look for a tall house with a pumpkin patch and a large clothesline angling down from the lower roof. Use the lockpicking spell on the door to enter.

Inside, the Demiguise Moon is directly in front of you on a table by the stairs and a giant vase.

Irondale

For this Demiguise location, you don’t need the unlocking spell, but you do need to know what to look for. It’s in the southwest corner of the Feldcroft Region bordering Hogwarts Valley, along a giant windmill that’s hard to miss.

The statue is hidden in a house with no locks. You can locate it between the Floo Flame chimney and the windmill because there’s only one house between them, with questgiver Althea Twiddle standing outside.

Enter the open home and inspect carefully. The Demiguise is hiding behind a counter along the floor, and it’s easy to overlook unless you thoroughly check the house interior.

Feldcroft Village

This Demiguise Statue is in the main village of Feldcroft, in the west central part of the Feldcroft region near the giant bandit camp castle that looms over the area. To reach it, you must provide enough Moons to gain Alohomora Level 2 because it’s locked away.

Once you arrive at Feldcroft Village, travel east directly across from the Floo Flame and go through the center courtyard to the middle house. It’s the one that shows two Collection Chests hidden inside on your minimap.

Unlock the level 2 door with the upgraded Alohomora spell. Inside, the Demiguise location sits on a window sill to the left of the entrance, near the stairs leading to the second floor.

Marunweem Hamlet

This statue doesn’t require the unlocking spell, but it does require reaching the right area. It’s in the far south of Marunweem, and you’ll need to progress past the narrow Coastal Cavern guarded by goblins. That cavern connects the South Sea Bog to the Poidsear Coast.

After reaching the fishing hamlet of Marunweem, head northeast along the road from the Floo Flame until you find a side quest giver named Marianne Moffett. Just to her left is a small house on the east side of the river running through the hamlet.

Enter the unlocked home to find Collection Chests and a Demiguise Statue hidden behind a counter on the left side of the first floor of the house.

Bainburgh

This Demiguise Statue is in the fishing hamlet called Bainbugh at the northern tip of the Manor Cape region, a short hike south from the other hamlet in Marunweem. Like the locked Highlands statues, you need enough Moons to learn Alohomora Level 2 before you can get it.

Once you arrive, travel northeast from the Floo Flame while hugging the left side of town. Pass the outdoor shopkeeper Agnes Coffey, slip past the bulletin board, and find a tall house.

Use Alohomora 2 to unlock the door. Inside, on the first floor, the Demiguise Statue sits on a small table next to one of the two armchairs in the house.

Cragcroft

This Demiguise location doesn’t require the unlocking spell, but you still need to know where to search. Cragcroft is one of the last hamlets in the open Highlands region. It’s far southwest, on the western corner of Cragcroftshire—west of Manor Cape and below Marunweem Lake.

When you arrive in town, head northeast from the Floo Flame building. Cross the large tree in the middle of the village to find a house just past the outdoor merchant named Bella Navarro.

Go past her stall and into the unlocked home. Climb the stairs on the left to reach the second floor, where the final Demiguise Statue is found on the far corner of the bedroom.
