GTA 6 PS5 Pro 60fps Claim: Insider Bets Their Twitter Account on It
A GTA 6 “insider” known as DetectiveSeeds is making a bold promise tied to the PS5 Pro: they say they’re so sure the game will reach 60fps that they’ll delete their entire Twitter account if they’re wrong.
DetectiveSeeds Stakes Their Twitter on GTA 6 Hitting 60fps on PS5 Pro
In the past week, new crumbs of information about GTA 6 have repeatedly answered one major concern—only for another to immediately take its place. One of the biggest ongoing questions is whether Rockstar will be able to deliver 60 frames per second, and now a familiar name in the rumor cycle is placing a direct bet on a specific platform.
Over the last few days, multiple insiders and performance-focused voices have weighed in on the likelihood of GTA 6 targeting 60fps. Some have argued it’s already part of Rockstar’s plan, while others have countered that the studio hasn’t historically treated peak performance as its top priority.
DetectiveSeeds Claims PS5 Pro Optimisation Will Deliver “Multiple Graphical Options”
Note That They Didn’t Say “At Launch”…
On Twitter, DetectiveSeeds—who has had an inconsistent history of claims and previously suggested a GTA 6 collector’s edition was in the works—returned to the PS5 Pro conversation. They pointed to earlier reporting they made about a “significant marketing deal” between Rockstar and PlayStation for GTA 6, and also referenced optimisation work specifically for the PS5 Pro.
While it’s fair to question DetectiveSeeds’ track record (with several past statements either turning out to be inaccurate or remaining unverified), there’s been enough confirmation recently around the marketing agreement and PS5 Pro enhancements to give their latest comments more credibility than usual.
After bringing up those earlier reports, DetectiveSeeds pushed further into the 60fps debate with an ultimatum of their own. They claimed they’re confident GTA 6 will run at 60fps on PS5 Pro and that the game will include “multiple graphical options.” They then promised to “deactivate and leave this amazing and educational app forever” if the claim ends up being incorrect.
The wording is still a little looser than some people may assume. DetectiveSeeds later clarified that they didn’t say the 60fps target would be true “at launch” or “consistently,” which is a key distinction for anyone reading the promise as a guarantee about every moment of gameplay.
Even so, the situation isn’t totally harmless in spirit. Anyone who’s been around GTA rumor chatter will recognize how quickly these kinds of bets can turn into embarrassment when predictions don’t land—especially after the GTAForums user who wagered money that Trailer 3 was arriving last month.
DetectiveSeeds’ delivery is also sarcastic, and it’s impossible to know whether they’ll actually follow through by deleting the account if the outcome doesn’t match the claim. Still, the confidence behind the statement suggests they believe they have a solid basis for this specific prediction, and some of their other PlayStation-adjacent reporting has apparently checked out before.

Sony is right – Grand Theft Auto 6 is probably going to play best on PlayStation.
