Griezmann Leads Orlando City to 3-0 MLS Win Over Toronto FC
Orlando City carried their recent MLS momentum into a 3-0 win over Toronto FC, with Antoine Griezmann setting the tone before first league goal from Sarajian and a stoppage-time finish from Facundo Angulo completed the result.
The match began at high speed, with goalkeepers Maxime Crépeau and Luka Gavran each required to make important early interventions. Two major VAR decisions also shaped the opening half: an own goal was ruled out and a penalty award was subsequently overturned.
Griezmann finally broke the deadlock just before the interval, converting a volley to continue an outstanding scoring sequence. The French forward has now found the net in five successive Major League Soccer matches, giving Orlando a decisive attacking reference point after the club’s earlier struggles in the final third.

Orlando assumed control in the second half as Sarajian opened his MLS account. Angulo then added the third in added time to put a convincing margin on a match that had initially been tightly contested.
The victory stretches Orlando’s unbeaten league sequence to five games, a run comprising four wins and one draw. They have also won each of their last three MLS fixtures and move to 34 points from 25 matches, strengthening their place in the Eastern Conference playoff positions.
For Toronto, the loss ends a seven-match league unbeaten run and represents their first MLS defeat since late July.
Cup semi-final next for Lions
Orlando now turn their attention to the US Open Cup, where Columbus await in Wednesday’s semi-final. The Lions enter the knockout tie with confidence after their strong league run and the prospect of reaching a final.
Toronto must respond on Saturday, when they travel to St. Louis City SC. The fixture will be Toronto’s first visit to Energizer Park.
