Glitter Gulch Mine Walkthrough: Route, Prep, and Fast Travel Tips

After clearing Jiggywiggy’s Challenge 2, the game nudges you toward the next stop: Glitter Gulch Mine. Your route starts in Wooded Hollow, where you should use Grip Grab along the crack in the wall to get to the entrance area for the Plateau region of Isle O’ Hags. From there, you’ll want to prepare before moving on—activate the silo atop the rocks for fast travel, then grab any notes you can and track down Jamjars so you know what to do next.

Release & Platform Tracker

This walkthrough section doesn’t include release dates, platform targets, or edition-specific changes. It’s written as general gameplay guidance for progressing through Glitter Gulch Mine and learning new abilities tied to that area.

Task Search

With the next world unlocked, your immediate checklist is straightforward: fast-travel should be enabled via the silo, notes should be collected while you still can, and Jamjars should be found to learn the upcoming move. If you’re hunting for notes that are easy to miss, you can jump onto the gate in Glitter Gulch Mine to reach them more quickly.

Walkthrough Part 3 : Glitter Gulch Mine

Once you’re ready, descend the rope to enter Glitter Gulch Mine. This location is built like an underground maze—caves, abandoned workings, and railway lines all intertwine. It may feel confusing at first, but the area isn’t as sprawling as it initially appears. Progress here depends on two larger objectives: getting Chuffy the train back onto the tracks, and freeing the crate that holds the flying saucer.

New Move: Fire Eggs

To move through the mines more comfortably, look for Jamjars’ hatch on the main Plateau nearby. He’ll teach you an elemental ammo option called Fire Eggs. These become important for lighting your path in multiple underground sections within Glitter Gulch Mine. After you learn them, you can swap ammunition types using the R button, then use Fire Eggs to burn and detonate specific enemies you encounter underground.

After you’ve explored the Plateau to your satisfaction and picked up the new ammo, continue downward via the rope to start exploring the mine network itself.

Mumbo Jumbo’s Skull: Levitate

Next up is the Levitate ability tied to Mumbo Jumbo. Start by locating the Glowbo behind the large boulder that blocks the entrance to Mine Entry 2. Bring that Glowbo up to Mumbo, who waits high on the cliffs above the entrance to Gloomy Caverns.

Once you’ve tossed the critter into the bag, you take control of the shaman. When you’re outside of his skull, head to the crushing shed. Here, you’ll use Levitate to lift a Jiggy Boulder into the crushing shed. You then need to Beak Barge the red button inside the shed to start the crushing mechanism. When the boulder is crushed, the shed releases three Jiggy fragments—collect them to gain another Jiggy.

Before switching back to the Bear and Bird, you’ll also need Levitate in the Train Station. As Mumbo Jumbo, go to the station and right the tipped-over train, Chuffy.

Humba Wumba’s Wigwam: Detonator

For the Detonator transformation, find the Glowbo resting on a pile of purple rocks across from Wumba’s Wigwam and bring it to her. In exchange, she turns you into a Detonator. You’ve likely already seen the kegs of dynamite scattered around Glitter Gulch Mine—now you’ll be able to use them properly.

The Detonator triggers automatically once you position yourself at the very end of the fuse connected to a TNT keg. If you set it correctly, you won’t suffer damage, but you can still protect yourself by performing mini-explosions when hostile undead cowboys attack.

There are multiple TNT kegs to deal with, including the following locations:

  1. The Fuel Depot
  2. Inside Mine Entry 1, on the route leading to the Flooded Caverns
  3. The jail cells located within Gloomy Caverns
  4. A blocked passage near Humba Wumba’s teepee

Free the Saucer from the Saucer of Peril Attraction

Glitter Gulch Mine includes a side objective centered on rescuing a mysterious, chatty Saucer. To start, become the Detonator and head into the Fuel Depot—specifically the mine door closest to the entrance. At the end of the railway tracks, search for the crate decorated with sci-fi artwork; it provides the clue about the Saucer’s peril.

Then use the Detonator to blow up the TNT barrel near the blockage. This clears a way forward into another mineshaft.

The crated saucer will float through the next opening, but you’ll still be blocked from the further passage while you’re approaching from the Glitter Gulch Mine side. The gate ahead can only be opened from the Witchyworld side.
