Everton Consider January Loan Move for Marcus Rashford
Everton are considering a January loan approach for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as they assess attacking reinforcements for the second half of the season. The proposed arrangement is understood to mirror the structure of Jack Grealish’s move from Manchester City, with Rashford seeking a route back to regular influence after returning to United following spells away at Aston Villa and Barcelona.
The 28-year-old England international is yet to record either a goal or an assist this term. Everton’s interest would offer him a possible escape from Old Trafford, although no agreement has been reached and the club are also pursuing options elsewhere in the forward line.
One of those alternatives is Real Sociedad striker Orri Óskarsson. Everton are said to be planning a move for the Icelandic forward, but Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Sunderland are also in the race. The Merseyside club have additionally joined Crystal Palace in asking about Lecce centre-back Tiago Gabriel, whose recent contract renewal runs until 2030. Milan and Fiorentina are monitoring the Portugal defender too, with Lecce believed to value him between €25 million and €30 million.
Monaco players draw Premier League attention
Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping close watch on Monaco striker Paris Brunner before the January market. The 20-year-old Germany Under-21 international is also attracting interest from Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. Monaco may need to generate funds, raising the prospect of an early deal that would see Brunner remain on loan with the French side.
Liverpool have also opened communication with representatives of Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara and asked to be updated on his situation. A winter transfer is not expected, but discussions over a move next year could develop after Chelsea’s €55 million attempt to sign the 22-year-old Senegal international collapsed during the summer.
Monaco’s league rivals Paris Saint-Germain are looking at Bayer Leverkusen winger Ibrahim Maza as a possible mid-season answer to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s ACL injury, which has ended his campaign. Leverkusen, however, are determined to keep the Algeria international and resist PSG’s interest.
Chelsea’s wider recruitment work includes continued interest in Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, who remains on their defensive shortlist. The London club are also reported to be among the sides watching Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez, with PSG similarly interested.
Arsenal have been linked with Atlético Madrid winger Álex Baena, but Atlético are expected to dismiss any approaches for the Spain international. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have also been credited with interest in Como’s Nico Paz, though Como intend to reject all January offers for the attacking midfielder.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has asked the club to pursue Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch, valued at approximately €50 million. Barcelona are examining central-defensive options, while Napoli continue to view Udinese’s Oumar Solet as a potential addition at the back.
Elsewhere, Bayern Munich are close to securing a new contract for Harry Kane and hope to settle the remaining minor terms before the end of the year. Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is likewise nearing completion of an extension that would keep him at the Bernabéu through June 2028.
In England, Hull City goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis has appeared on the scouting lists of both Liverpool and Tottenham. Werder Bremen, meanwhile, are preparing talks with West Ham United over making Niclas Füllkrug’s loan permanent.
