What the story is about
Ume Mizunoe attends a prestigious school on the outskirts of a city, but a scholarship-fueled nightmare forces him into student council duties. He’s required to act as a representative to avoid repeating the year, even though the council members don’t exactly fit a traditional mold.
The cast includes a range of personalities—from silly to grumpy, and even occasionally spooky—yet they’re described as surprisingly cute in how they behave. The premise sets up a strange, friendly day-to-day high school life centered on a student council that feels uniquely its own.
Cast and character roles
Shōgo Sakata is cast as Ume Mizunoe, the story’s lead. He will be joined by Haruka Shiraishi as Hisako Kotobuki, Miyu Tomita as Komaro Michinoku, and Hiyori Kōno as Tan Otori.
Additional roles include Shizuka Ishigami as Arisu Terui and Yumi Uchiyama as Satomi Hiratsuka. Together, the lineup reflects the manga’s mix of comedic weirdness and everyday school energy.
