Dead by Daylight codes are a handy way to pick up freebies and progress boosts—everything from extra Bloodpoints and Shards to unlockable character and costume content, plus purely cosmetic extras like banners, flags, and badge-style items. New codes do show up regularly, though some rewards are tied to longer-lasting or even permanent redemptions, especially for charms. How to Use DBD Codes
Redeeming Dead by Daylight codes is simple—just follow these steps:
- Open DBD, then from the Main Menu select Store. It’s the final option, located under Quests.
- If you’ve already pressed Play and you’re on the Killer/Survivor screen, you can still jump to the Store from there. Again, the Store is the last icon on the left.
- Once you’re on the store page, find Redeem near the bottom of the screen.
- Click Redeem, and a redemption field will appear.
- Paste or type the code into the Enter Code bar, then press Redeem.
If your codes award Bloodpoints and Shards, your totals should update automatically. If your codes unlock cosmetics instead, keep reading to learn where to locate and equip them.
How to Find and Use Cosmetics
To locate and use cosmetic items, start by clicking Play when you load up DBD, then do the following:
- Pick either Killer or Survivor.
- On the left side, click Characters (the first option, identified by a head-and-shoulders icon).
- After the list of Killers or Survivors appears, sub-menus will show up: All Killers/Survivors, Customizations, and Bio.
- Click Customizations. This opens another sub-menu.
- Choose the last option on the right to access Charms. The icon is shaped like a token.
- You can equip up to three different charms on Killers and Survivors.
How to Find and Use Charms
To find and equip charms, click Play when you load up DBD, then follow these steps:
- Choose either Killer or Survivor.
- Click Characters on the left (the first option with the head-and-shoulders icon).
- When the full roster appears, sub-menus will be displayed: All Killers/Survivors, Customizations, and Bio.
- Click Customizations to open the next sub-menu.
- The first four options let you adjust your appearance.
- Within those appearance options: the first sub-menu is Outfits, the second is Masks, the third is Body, and the fourth is either Weapons (Killers only) or Legs (Survivors only).
- Selecting a cosmetic will automatically equip it.
- Charm visuals differ by role: on Survivors, charms appear on their clothing; on Killers, charms appear on hooks.
How to Find and Use Banners and Badges
Banners can be modified and equipped from the Main Menu.
- After you load into DBD, click your Player Profile in the top-right corner.
- You’ll see your stats, but on the left there are two options for customizing your Banners and Badges.
- To switch your badge, click the square.
- To switch your banner, click the rectangle.
- Pick the badge or banner you want, then press Equip.
Expired Codes
These codes can no longer be redeemed, but they’re included here in case you want to test them. Sometimes redemptions can still work—so it’s worth a try if you’re curious.
