Black Banquet Archives: your invitation and the code

When you launch DBD for the first time during the event, you’ll receive an invite to The Black Banquet.

Click the red wax seal, and the envelope opens to reveal the first of seven Archive entries.

At the end of the invitation, you’ll also see a code: 14, 3, 12, 29, 1: 51.90, -3.18.

If you treat 51.90, -3.18 as GPS coordinates, they point to Cwmdu, a small village located in the Black Mountains in Powys, Wales. The second Archive item is a classified file from the Cardiff Police.

Match changes for The Black Banquet

If you queue into an event match, you’ll be dropped into The Black Banquet, with maps and objectives adjusted for the celebration.

Trials play like a two-course meal: a Main Course for most of the match, followed by Dessert at the endgame. Here’s how that works for both Survivors and Killers.

10th Anniversary offerings (Bloodweb bonus)

Keep an eye out for Toothy Torte offerings in the Bloodweb. Using them grants 100% Bonus Bloodpoints across all categories and for all players.

Main Course rules

The Main Course begins at the start of each trial and continues until either four Generators are completed or one Survivor remains.

When you enter a map, the game selects a Menu of the Day for you. It appears at the top of your screen and specifies which “dish” you have, along with the effects that will be active throughout the game.

Your first task is to locate a Dining Cart. You can spawn in with a Morsel, but you’ll spend most of the trial searching for Dining Carts, picking up Morsels, and carrying them to Dining Tables.

While you’re holding a Morsel, the top-left interaction changes to Set A Table. You’ll also be shown the buff you’ll receive from that specific Morsel—for example, Speed.

  • One Global Effect that lasts for the entire Main Course
  • One Survivor effect applied whenever a Survivor eats a Morsel
  • A temporary Survivor effect if Survivors assemble 4 Morsels on a Banquet Table

Once you have a dish, you can either eat your Morsel for a small personal buff or place it on a Dining Table. If multiple Morsels are placed on the same Dining Table, you’ll trigger a Banquet Payoff effect.

Menu of the Day match items: Dessert

Dessert start and what it gives

When four generators are done or there’s only one Survivor left, the Dessert phase begins. A bell rings, and the Dining Carts are replaced by Dessert Tables.

You can eat Morsels from these tables to gain a buff, which will be one of the following:

  • Haste
  • Elusive / Undetectable
  • Endurance or Blindness Immunity

The Black Banquet for Survivors

For Survivors, the core choices are simple: eat Morsels or contribute them to the Banquet Table. If your team manages to place four Morsels on a Banquet Table, you’ll earn a Banquet Payoff that lasts for 60 seconds.

  1. You can load in with a Morsel if you use a Toothy Torte offering
  2. If you have a Toothy Torte offering, Banquet Table outlines appear in white when you’re near them
  3. Dining Carts don’t show outlines, but they’re scattered around the maps
  4. To activate the payoff, you must bring four Morsels to the same table

The Black Banquet for Killers

Killers focus on slowing down Survivors using Poison. You can throw poison at Survivors or poison interactable objects.

If you poison the Dining Cart, it will:

  • Lower a Survivor’s sprinting ability
  • Damage a Morsel so it can no longer be used at the Banquet Table

In addition to Dining Carts, you can poison:

  • Generators
  • Pallets
  • Portals
  • Banquet Tables

If you burn a Toothy Torte offering, you’ll begin the trial with the maximum number of Poison charges.
