De Agostini Launches My Hero Academia 3D Collection Miniatures on Italian Newsstands
A new merchandising wave is heading to Italian newsstands: De Agostini is launching the My Hero Academia 3D Collection, an “edicola” series of collectible figures centered on the franchise’s most iconic heroes, students, teachers, and villains. Built around the cast of Class 1-A from U.A. High School—and expanding outward to Pro Heroes and major enemy forces—the collection is designed to bring characters to life in a more display-friendly, statue-like format.
The program totals 84 releases, each featuring PVC reproductions that are hand-painted and finished with attention to small details. The figures range from 7 to 17 cm tall, with the line aiming for faithful character representation across both the student roster and the wider My Hero Academia universe. In addition to the standard slate of collectibles, the collection also includes 12 special action figure releases, distinguished by dynamic poses, included accessories, or different scale choices.
Among the characters already highlighted are student favorites such as Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, Ochaco Uraraka, and Denki Kaminari. The lineup further reaches into the Pro Hero side with names including All Might, Shota Aizawa, Mirio Togata, Tamaki, Endeavor, and Hawks, as well as characters like Fatgum, Star & Stripes, and Gang Orca. On the villain front, the collection spotlights Tomura Shigaraki and All For One, tying the display pieces back to the series’ biggest threats.
Every release comes with a dedicated booklet that adds context about the featured character and their role in the story. Beyond introducing allies and adversaries, the included reading material also takes a focused look at Quirks—the special abilities that define both heroes and villain combat styles. Those guides also cover key moments from the anime’s timeline, spanning training and exam arcs all the way to confrontations involving the Villain Union.
Pricing and first release dates
The first figure in the series is centered on Izuku Midoriya and starts on August 26, available at a launch price of €2.99. The next release, featuring Katsuki Bakugo, arrives on September 5 with a price of €7.99. After that, subsequent issues are priced at €14.99 each.
