How to use GTA 5 Cheats

There are two categories of GTA V cheat codes: cellphone numbers and controller/button inputs. Before you start punching anything in, decide which method you want to use—either your controller or your cell phone.

How to use cheat codes with the controller

1. Launch GTA 5 and load into the single-player campaign, since cheat codes can only be activated while you’re in the game.
2. Once you’re in gameplay, make sure you save first. Entering cheats will disable achievements and trophies, but the restriction applies only to the current play session. If you restart the game, you’ll regain the ability to earn achievements and collect trophies.
3. Use the D-pad to enter the directional inputs (like LEFT, RIGHT, UP, and DOWN). The game expects these commands to be performed quickly, and if the sequence is accepted, you’ll see a small confirmation appear above the map.

How to use cheat codes with the cell phone
