Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced: Crafting Recipes and Gear Upgrades

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced lets you craft practical gear and improve your equipment while you sail the Caribbean as Edward Kenway. This guide-style rundown covers the crafting recipes and the upgrade options tied to Edward’s personal gear.

Checklists

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced adds crafting so you can create useful equipment and upgrade pieces as you travel the Caribbean with Edward Kenway. Below is a list of the crafting recipes and upgrades available for Edward’s personal loadout.

How to Craft

To unlock crafting, you’ll first need to progress to the This Tyro Captain quest in Sequence 3. After you reach that point, complete the portion of the quest where you hunt ocelots. When you’re ready, open your inventory and select the anvil icon to bring up the crafting menu.

Once the crafting menu is unlocked, you can use it anywhere—just make sure you’re not currently in the middle of another task.

All Gear Recipes and Upgrades

There are 18 main crafting upgrades for your gear. The early-game approach is to prioritize the upgrades that provide the biggest benefits to your playstyle, though you can still obtain most of these options before you reach Sequence 5.

One especially useful unlock is crafting three extra pistol holsters. With that done, you can fire four quick shots at enemy targets, which becomes particularly helpful when you’re getting surrounded. On top of that, health upgrades are a strong priority—extra survivability is always valuable.
