Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United Monitor Bayern Teen Lennart Karl
European clubs are beginning to map out moves for the next two transfer windows, with Bayern Munich teenager Lennart Karl attracting Premier League attention and AC Milan considering a summer approach for Manchester United centre-back Leny Yoro.
Quick facts
- Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are monitoring Bayern forward Lennart Karl, 18.
- AC Milan are assessing a move for Manchester United defender Leny Yoro, with a fee near €50 million suggested.
- Tottenham and Newcastle have asked about Milan pair Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
- Spurs will not entertain a January sale of Pedro Porro despite interest from Spain.
- Manchester City retain interest in Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto, valued at £70 million.
Karl signed a lengthy new Bayern contract earlier this year, but his limited involvement has prompted interest from England. The Germany international has played nine times this season, registering one goal and one assist, and could weigh up his future should his first-team opportunities fail to improve.
Yoro is also being watched ahead of the summer. The 20-year-old France international joined United from Lille in a €62 million deal in 2024, but has found the move difficult, and Milan’s former United manager Ruben Amorim wants added defensive cover at San Siro. A deal in the region of €50 million could be sufficient.
There is no firm prospect of Trent Alexander-Arnold returning to Liverpool at present. The 28-year-old has had restricted minutes at Real Madrid, where Denzel Dumfries and Federico Valverde provide competition, but Liverpool have not made him a defined target while reviewing their options at right-back.
Tottenham and Newcastle have contacted Milan over Tomori and Loftus-Cheek before the January window. Milan are prepared to consider departures for both: Tomori, 28, has made only three appearances under Amorim, while 30-year-old Loftus-Cheek has featured eight times in all competitions.
Tottenham are also determined to retain Porro through the middle of the season. Real Madrid and Barcelona have been linked with the 27-year-old, who would be receptive to another spell in LaLiga after signing a new Spurs deal in the summer, but any eventual buyer would face a substantial asking price.
Manchester City continue to follow Gusto’s situation at Chelsea. The 23-year-old right-back is being valued at £70 million, should a reunion with Enzo Maresca ever become a possibility.
Arsenal are expected to open talks with goalkeeper David Raya over an extension beyond his current 2028 expiry date. The club are seeking to secure the Spaniard’s longer-term position in the squad.
Liverpool and Real Madrid have entered the competition for Brighton’s 19-year-old central defender Luka Vušković. Juventus, meanwhile, are keeping watch on Manchester City left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri, whose involvement this season has been limited.
Barcelona intend to discuss a new contract with Gerard Martín that would run beyond 2028. They are also monitoring Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha, although PSG consider the 26-year-old unavailable for transfer while he remains tied to the club until 2029.
RB Leipzig are increasingly expected to activate the €28 million clause to make Christopher Nkunku’s loan from Milan permanent after his strong return to the German club. Napoli, meanwhile, are planning January recruitment in two areas, targeting both a midfielder and a striker.
