Giant Ojō-sama Anime Teaser Reveals Cast and January 2027 Debut
DMM Pictures has released a teaser trailer for Giant Ojō-sama, the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Nikumura Q’s manga. The preview also reveals the main cast and production staff, with the series scheduled to debut in January 2027.
What the teaser shows: a corporate heiress, a kaiju-sized transformation
The story centers on Fujido Oriko, the charismatic head of the Fujido Zaibatsu—an organization that holds a monopoly in Japan’s vending machine industry. Serving as her right hand is her eccentric but capable butler, Dr. Sebastion.
When a monster suddenly attacks the city, Dr. Sebastion turns to an experimental energy drink developed by his own team to respond to the threat. The result is far from subtle: Oriko grows to massive, kaiju-like proportions. The series frames the premise around whether she can stop the destruction caused by the monster—or at least keep her composure while doing it.

Nikumura Q began serializing the Giant Ojō-sama manga in July 2020 on Shogakukan’s web platform Sunday Webry.
With the anime now confirmed for a January 2027 TV release, the teaser positions the adaptation to bring its outlandish “vending machine monopoly heiress vs. sudden monster disaster” premise to the screen—this time with Oriko forced to deal with the consequences of an experimental energy drink at full kaiju scale.
