Elden Ring Golden Seeds Guide: Max Your Flask Charges Fast

In Elden Ring, your early progress can feel like a race against your own supplies: healing flasks are scarce just long enough to force tough choices about when to fight and when to push for the next Site of Grace. Golden Seeds help solve that problem by adding extra charges—so finding them becomes a priority almost as soon as you step into the Lands Between.

Why Golden Seeds matter

At the start of the game, the limited number of flasks restricts how often you can heal or restore Focus while you work your way toward your next checkpoint. Golden Seeds let you increase that capacity. You can carry up to 14 flasks total, split freely between HP and FP, and reaching the maximum requires 30 Golden Seeds in total.

  1. You can add one extra flask charge early by selecting a Golden Seed as your character’s starting gift (not required, but helpful).
  2. Over the course of the game, you can collect more than 30 Golden Seeds, including in hidden areas.
  3. Along the way, keep an eye out for Tree Spirits—many of them carry a Golden Seed when defeated.
  4. Once you’ve gathered enough Seeds, your flask capacity rises until you can carry 14 charges.

A checklist of 32 easy-to-reach Golden Seeds

The following route focuses on Golden Seeds that are described as straightforward to obtain, with each item specifying the relevant Site of Grace and the general directions to reach the Tree or encounter.

Starting area

  1. Game start — Choose the Seed as your starting gift to obtain an additional flask charge right away.
  2. Limgrave (Site of Grace: Gravesite of the Stranded) — Leave the first cave, open a fog-door using a sword key, clear the dungeon, and defeat the boss to receive a Golden Seed (and Oleg, Exiled Knight Ashes).
  3. Limgrave (Site of Grace: Stormhill Shack) — The Tree is behind Stormveil Gate; if you miss it, ride slightly south from the Grace.
  4. Limgrave (Site of Grace: Stormhill Shack) — Talk to Roderika in the shack. After completing her dialogue sequence and returning later, she will be gone and the location will contain a Golden Seed.
  5. Limgrave (Site of Grace: Mistwood Outskirts) — Head to an overturned building to find Kenneth Haight. You may complete his questline or skip it; killing him results in a Golden Seed drop.
  6. Limgrave (Site of Grace: Fort Haight) — The Tree stands on the west side of the fort, in front of the outer wall.
  7. Weeping Peninsula (Site of Grace: Wall of Schloss Mourne) — Southwest toward the castle, find the Tree near rocks; watch for the giant’s ranged attacks.

Siofra

  1. Siofra (Site of Grace: Younger’s Woods) — Reach Siofra via the lift in Mistwood. Stay north until you see a stone bridge on the left, cross it, and loot the Tree before the sniper fire catches you.

Stormveil Castle

  1. Stormveil Castle (Site of Grace: Isolated Cell) — Exit the cell, turn right after the ramp, and follow the edge to jump between ledges into the opening with an arrow marker. Continue through the catacombs, defeat the boss down there, and claim the Golden Seed.
  2. Stormveil Castle (Site of Grace: Isolated Cell) — From the Grace, go left. Pass the giant and two guards, and you’ll see the Tree containing a Seed.

Liurnia

  1. Liurnia Lake Country (Site of Grace: Academy Gate Town) — Ride west to find the Tree on a small plaza between ruined buildings.
  2. Liurnia Lake Country (Site of Grace: Academy Main Gate) — Cross the bridge in the northeast without using the seal; the Tree sits about halfway across.
  3. Raya Lucaria Academy (Site of Grace: Debate Parlor) — Exit the door to the courtyard; the Tree is far back on the left corner behind a cluster of archways.
  4. Liurnia Lake Country (Site of Grace: The Cliffside) — Ride northeast through the canyon to reach the Tree at the end.
  5. Carian Manor (Site of Grace: Upper Level of the Manor) — When you leave the room from the Grace, the Tree is essentially right in front of you.

Caelid

  1. Caelid (Site of Grace: Beastman’s Sanctum) — The Tree stands between the Sanctum and the bridge; ride south.
  2. Caelid (Site of Grace: Aeonia Swamp Shore, South) — From the Grace, head toward Redmane Castle and find the Tree along the route.
  3. Sellia, Town of Sorcery (Site of Grace: Sellia Gateway) — Cross the town toward the northeast. The Tree is positioned in front of a barrier you reach via stairs.
  4. Caelid (Site of Grace: War-Dead Catacombs) — First defeat Radahn, then ride north on his battlefield. Look for a door in the rock wall, and clear the dungeon; the end boss is another Tree Spirit that drops a Golden Seed.

Altus Plateau

  1. Altus Plateau (Site of Grace: Erdtree-Gazing Hill) — Ride directly north a short distance up the hill to reach the Tree.
  2. Altus Plateau (Site of Grace: Erdtree-Gazing Hill) — Follow the arrow markers to locate the canyon, then ride north through the ruins of Wyndham into a canyon filled with exploding geysers. Continue until you reach the Tree.
  3. Altus Plateau (Site of Grace: Altus Highway Junction) — The Tree can already be seen from the Grace to the north.
  4. Altus Plateau (Site of Grace: Great Tree Bridge) — Ride north; the Tree with a Seed is near the Erdtree.

Capital outskirts and city

  1. Leyndell, Royal Capital (Site of Grace: Outer Wall Phantom Tree) — The Tree is right next to the Grace, letting you pick up two Seeds here.
  2. Leyndell, Royal Capital (Site of Grace: Outer Wall Phantom Tree) — From the last Grace, ride northeast and follow the road until you find another Tree that holds two Seeds.
  3. Leyndell, Royal Capital (Site of Grace: West Capital Rampart) — Exit the room south to get almost directly in front of the Tree; proceed carefully because a Gargoyle is nearby.

Gelmir

  1. Mt. Gelmir (Site of Grace: Ninth Gelmir Campsite) — Enter the airflow and stay on the right side of the summit. Jump down over the prominent rocks to spot the Tree.

Mountaintops of the Giants

  1. Lift of Rold (Site of Grace: Forbidden Lands) — Technically tied to the Leyndell region, but the Seed is on the way to the Rold lift, halfway along the route, near a Tree.
  2. Mountaintops of the Giants (Site of Grace: Ruins of the Unkown Snowfield) — Follow the canyon north and stay right. Pass a patrolling giant, then turn into another canyon where the Tree is located.
  3. Mountaintops of the Giants (Site of Grace: Foot of the Forge) — Before the boss fight against the Fire Giant, ride northeast. The Tree sits on a small plateau among several frozen giants.

Keep upgrading your flasks

If you haven’t pushed your flask upgrades to their limit yet, Golden Seeds are the direct path to bigger survivability windows. With enough Seeds collected (30 total for the 14-flask maximum), you’ll be able to distribute charges between HP and FP however you prefer—making the early game’s scarcity much less punishing.
