Rayman Legends Retold Confirmed for Oct 1 With Pre-Orders Now Live
Ubisoft is getting ready to bring more classic platforming back into the spotlight, and this time the focus is on upgraded “Rayman” editions. At State of Play, the publisher revealed Rayman Legends Retold with a release date of October 1, and it also confirmed that pre-orders are open starting today.
The announcement followed earlier reporting and leaks that had already pointed toward an October launch window, including the appearance of a product listing in the Microsoft Store for an unannounced game: Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. That store card went live prematurely and has since been removed, but it still surfaced with an accompanying logo and details that suggested a full refresh of the platformer was in the works. The same leak source had previously teased Rayman Legends Retold, reinforcing expectations that both upgraded projects could land around the same time.

Rayman Legends Retold was shown during a State of Play presentation, and the release date was set for October 1 of this year. Pre-orders are available immediately. In the background, additional rumors suggested that the enhanced Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition may also debut on that same date, with Ubisoft’s official reveal for both projects expected to arrive on June 2.
As for what players can expect, the upgraded editions are rumored to target modern performance and presentation, including gameplay running in 4K at 60 frames per second. Alongside that, the editions are said to include quality-of-life improvements to make the original experience feel more at home on current hardware. The reports also claim that Rayman Legends Retold will include new 3D sequences, a notable expansion beyond the original format.
For Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, the leak claims there will be more than 60 hand-drawn levels, plus 60 hidden relics players can track down inside the “Chrapiące Drzewo” area. It also points to a local co-op mode that supports up to four players on a single couch—an option that is also described as likely appearing in Legends Retold as well.
Finally, Ubisoft’s messaging around the upgraded releases has already shown up in the lead-up to today’s formal reveal, including a reminder at gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live via a trailer for Rayman Legends Retold. With the release window now officially confirmed for Legends Retold, attention will shift to whether Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition indeed shares the same October 1 launch date and what Ubisoft chooses to show when it makes its full, official presentation on June 2.
