Pokemon Winds and Waves Leak Details Regional Forms and Eevee Shifts
Fresh Pokemon Winds and Waves information has surfaced again, focusing on regional variants, evolutions that span generations, details about the Legendary duo, and disappointing news for Eevee fans. The game series has already been hit with multiple leaks lately, and if these rumors hold up, Gen 10 could end up being the largest Pokemon release the franchise has ever seen. Even if it doesn’t introduce the absolute biggest number of brand-new creatures, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have already proven how massive the modern mainline entries can be—though Gen 10 may still eclipse them.
Fans were hoping Gen 10 would arrive this year to mark the franchise’s 30th anniversary, but the reveal trailer reportedly pointed to a “2027” launch window instead. Additional leaks suggest Pokemon Winds and Waves is planned for late 2027—apparently targeting September 2027—with downloadable content arriving in December. The timing should be treated cautiously, but it aligns with a long-running pattern: The Pokemon Company and Nintendo historically lean toward holiday-season releases. For comparison, the next Super Mario 3D title is also alleged to land in November of the following year.
One well-known Pokemon leaker has now taken to social media to back up a prior claim about Pokemon Winds and Waves—and the update isn’t good for Eevee enthusiasts.
Say Goodbye to a New Eeveelution in Pokemon Winds and Waves
A leak aggregator account, Centro Leaks, shared a new claim sourced from an active tipster named kurwashibamaste. The allegation: there won’t be a new evolution for Eevee in Gen 10. Centro Leaks notes that the information hasn’t been verified by other sources yet. Still, the same tipster was said to be involved in an earlier leak that claimed around 300 new Pokemon would appear in Pokemon Winds and Waves. That makes the new claim feel more plausible, especially because one of the documents found in last year’s Teraleak reportedly said The Pokemon Company was considering avoiding additional Eeveelutions. The reasoning given was that there’s so much fan art floating around that any new evolution might end up looking too similar to community designs—creating potential legal issues.

Say Hello to New Regional Forms and Cross-Gen Evolutions in Pokemon Winds and Waves
While the Eevee news is rough, this leak also includes more positive details. It claims that six older Pokemon will receive regional forms and/or evolutions that cross into other generations. The list is:
- Onix will get a regional form and/or a cross-gen evolution
- Houndour will get a regional form and/or a cross-gen evolution
- Clamperl will get a regional form and/or a cross-gen evolution
- Nincada will get a regional form and/or a cross-gen evolution
- Zweilous will get a cross-gen evolution
- Salandit will get a cross-gen evolution, and it’s alleged to be Poison/Dragon
In addition, the Salandit evolution was reportedly already mentioned in another Pokemon Winds and Waves leak that included Pokedex-related details. That earlier claim suggested the game’s Pokedex would contain 530 Pokemon total, with roughly 300 new species, and it specifically stated that Salandit would evolve into a Poison/Dragon form. That overlap is what gives the rumor extra credibility—though, as with everything here, nothing is confirmed.
The leak also points to a named underwater location called Neon Abyss. It’s described as conceptually similar to the Glimwood Tangle from Pokemon Sword and Shield, but with a coral reef theme instead. The same rumor claims Gen 10 will include areas that can only be reached by flying. If that’s accurate, it could connect back to an older Pokemon Winds and Waves leak showing ride mechanics involving a Rotom scooter attached to Pokemon.
Finally, the leak adds a couple of presentation and Legend-related claims. It says shiny Pokemon will appear directly in the overworld, and they’ll include shiny audio similar to what players heard in Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The rumor also states that both box Legendaries will show up in each version of the game.

One earlier leak about Pokemon Winds and Waves’ box Legendaries claimed that they might have alternate forms available to players during the story. If that holds, it could resemble Gen 9’s Koraidon and Miraidon setup, since those Pokemon are reportedly obtained as early as the tutorial portion of the game.
