LEGO Harry Potter Ministry of Magic Set Reportedly Coming Sept. 1
A fresh LEGO Harry Potter rumor has surfaced online, pointing to a new build centered on the Ministry of Magic. The reported set is still unannounced, but the current expectation is that it will arrive on September 1, continuing LEGO’s steady stream of additions to its wizarding theme.
As of July 2026, the LEGO Harry Potter range is approaching its 25th anniversary, and it shows no signs of slowing down. The Danish toymaker has continued releasing new sets throughout the year, with 16 separate products already launched during the first half of 2026. New reporting suggests LEGO intends to push out even more Harry Potter sets before the end of summer 2026, and then follow up right after with another big build—this time, another Ministry of Magic model.
On top of LEGO’s ongoing physical releases, Harry Potter fans also have a new game on the horizon, with October 2026 now being the target window.
LEGO’s Second Ministry of Magic Set Reportedly Nears 3,500 Pieces
A new report from the Brick Tap community claims to reveal more specifics about the upcoming Ministry of Magic set, including its alleged set number: 76476. The same information lists the model at 3,491 pieces, putting it at almost three and a half times the size of LEGO’s original Ministry of Magic release. That earlier set was a 990-piece build tied to the Deathly Hallows subtheme, released in June 2022 and discontinued in December 2023.
Here’s what the rumor currently claims for the set’s specifications:
- Name: Ministry of Magic
- Product no.: 76476
- Pieces: 3,491
- Minifigures: 10+
- Age: 18+
- Release: September 1, 2026
- Price: $449.99 (not confirmed)
The Ministry of Magic set is reportedly set to launch on September 1. Brick Tap’s sources also suggest a retail price of $449.99, though they emphasize the amount could change before release. If those figures hold up, the cost would exceed what LEGO’s first 2026 Harry Potter wave of products collectively charged. Set 76476 is expected to include at least 10 minifigures and carry an 18+ rating, signaling that it’s aimed at adult builders—people who want a larger, more intricate build and have the fine motor control and time to finish something this complex.
With just under 3,500 pieces, the rumored Ministry of Magic replica would rank as the fourth-largest set in LEGO’s Wizarding World lineup. It would sit behind 71043 Hogwarts Castle, 75978 Diagon Alley, and 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition. The report also claims it won’t arrive alone: it’s expected to launch alongside another Harry Potter set numbered 40901.
There’s also a separate rumor that 40901 is a microscale Hogwarts model intended as a gift-with-purchase. The expectation is based on the set number and LEGO’s typical naming patterns for promotions.
For anyone paying attention to what’s coming next, the leaks don’t stop at 2026. Two LEGO Harry Potter sets are reportedly already in motion for 2027. The lineup includes another Dobby set priced at $14.99, plus a bigger $109.99 release tied to Harry’s first year at Hogwarts. Both are expected to be released in early 2027.
