Black Ops 2 Trophy Roadmap: 50 Trophies to Platinum on PS5

Black Ops 2 has 50 trophies you’ll need to earn to unlock the Platinum, and the requirements are presented in a way that makes the grind feel manageable across Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. If you follow a structured trophy checklist and roadmap, you can line up the key wins and mission tasks without getting lost. There are also separate guides for DLC-related achievement work, letting you aim for full completion on the added content.

The same coverage is extended to Black Ops 1 as well, with its trophy list laid out along with practical notes on how to secure every achievement and earn Platinum, including the DLC entries.

For the PlayStation releases of Black Ops 2 on PS4 and PS5, League Play is not included. Because of that, the requirements for the “Big Leagues” trophy are adjusted to be less demanding than the original setup. The Platinum also focuses on base-game trophies, meaning the DLC packs’ achievements are optional extras rather than prerequisites.

Quick facts (Black Ops 2)

  • 50 trophies are required for the Platinum.
  • The Platinum covers Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies.
  • League Play is unavailable on PS4 and PS5, so “Big Leagues” is easier.
  • DLC map pack achievements are covered separately; only base-game trophies are needed for Platinum.

Black Ops 2 Trophy List & Guide

Start by running through the Campaign story mode for BO2.

Complete Mission 1: Pyrrhic Victory by investigating the jungle facility.

Move on to Mission 2: Celerium—listen carefully and think before you fire. During Kravchenko’s interrogation, spam R1 three times in a row to avoid shooting him.

For Mission 2, gather intel on Raul Menendez from Mullah Rahmaan, then continue into Mission 3: Old Wounds. Stop the brutality inflicted by the PDF in that mission.

In Mission 4: Time and Fate, kill the soldiers attacking the civilians. Then take down Menendez and his operation, and finish Mission 4.

At the end of Mission 5: Fallen Angel, you’ll be in a car. Stay far to the right and don’t drive through the flames.

In Mission 5, gather information on Raul Menendez’s suspected terrorist plot, then complete the mission.

For Mission 6: Karma, let DeFalco flee, do not rescue Karma, and do not play the “Second Chance” Strike Mission.

In Mission 8: Achilles Veil, kill Harper.

In Mission 9: Odysseus, when you meet Briggs, there’s a unique cutscene that triggers the trophy.

Then, repeat the key actions: kill DeFalco in Mission 6: Karma, kill Harper in Mission 8: Achilles Veil, and complete all Strike Missions.

In Mission 9: Odysseus, shoot Admiral Briggs in the leg.

Proceed through Mission 6: Karma to completion, then tackle Mission 7: Suffer With Me. At the end, take the Sniper Rifle and shoot the hooded man in the leg.

In Mission 7, capture Manuel Noriega and bring him to justice, then complete the mission.

During Mission 8: Achilles, instead of pressing Circle to shoot Harper, press X to shoot Menendez. Complete the mission as well, including the objective that reads “Reinforcements on the way.”

After that, finish the Strike Mission requirements: complete all 5 Strike Missions, then start Mission 9: Odysseus. You must shoot Briggs in the leg and complete the mission.

Complete Mission 9: Odysseus, then escort the president to the secure location in downtown LA. Finish Mission 10: Cordis Die, stop Menendez once and for all, and complete Mission 11: Judgment Day.

In Mission 11, decide Menendez’s fate. Either choice grants the trophy, and you’ll still need to complete the Campaign on Hardened or Veteran for the related difficulty goals.

To satisfy the higher difficulty trophies, complete all 11 Missions on Veteran difficulty; Strike Force missions are not required for this specific requirement. You also need to complete “Pyrrhic Victory,” “Old Wounds,” “Time And Fate,” and “Suffer With Me” on Veteran.

One trophy is earned simply by completing the Campaign on Veteran, and another requires completing all future levels while playing as Section. The guidance here is straightforward: just complete the Campaign on Veteran to cover those future sections.

Next, complete all challenges in Black Ops 2. In the Campaign menu, you can view each challenge required in each mission. The total listed is 160 challenges across 16 missions, with 10 challenges per mission.

Complete all challenges within a level as you work toward the “Giant Accomplishment” trophy. You’ll also naturally cover the “complete 1 challenge in any level” requirement while chasing that same goal.

Strike Force and Campaign extras

For the Strike Force objectives, successfully neutralize the SDC freighter at Keppel Terminal. Then complete the listed Strike Force missions: Shipwreck, I.E.D., Fob Spectre, and Dispatch. You’ll also need to successfully escort the VIPs to safety, successfully defend FOB Spectre from an incursion, and successfully assassinate SDC Chairman Tian Zhao.

Two more Strike Force missions are required as well: Second Chance and Dispatch (the list repeats Dispatch earlier and then adds Second Chance as another step). After the Strike Force run, the intel-related trophy requires that you deal with the spread of Campaign intel—33 intel items across each Campaign mission are called out.

There’s also a “future weapon in the past” objective. You need to replay one of the named Campaign missions—Pyrrhic Victory, Old Wounds, Time and Fate, or Suffer With Me—and choose your loadout during that replay, using something like the KAP-40 as an example.

For “complete a level with a customized loadout,” press Triangle before a mission to customize your loadout.

Finally, the score requirement is minimum 10k in every mission. Points come from headshots, melee kills, robot kills, explosives, stuns, challenge completions, and difficulty modifiers.

Multiplayer trophies then begin with progression-based work: reach Sergeant (Level 10) in a Public Match. This is noted as something you’ll likely earn naturally by playing Multiplayer.

For the Prestige requirement, you prestige once in a multiplayer Public Match. The guidance states that once you reach Level 55 in Multiplayer, you can Prestige.

Combat Training objectives require winning 10 multiplayer games while playing in Combat Training playlists. Specifically, you need to be on the winning team of the Multiplayer > Public Match > Combat Training playlist.

Party Games objectives require winning 10 multiplayer games while playing in Party Games playlists. The list also specifies that you must place in the top three 10 times in Party Games, found under Multiplayer.

TranZit and Zombies-themed challenges

For TranZit, the first note is to obey the voices. Then, you’re directed to complete one of the TranZit easter eggs using the guides provided: one requirement is to have all doors opened without being set on fire.

The door count given is 19 doors, including ones that require the Turbine to power them on as well as the bank doors. The advice is to avoid cracks in the road and stick with the bus between areas.

In Green Run, pacify at least 10 zombies with 1 EMP. Another TranZit step involves getting the EMP from the Mystery Box, training 10 zombies, and then throwing an EMP at them to stun them.

There’s also a TranZit objective to complete all additions to the bus in 1 game. With the Turbine, you open the powered doors in each area to find the Hatch, the ladder, and the Ramp, which can be built on the bus.

In Green Run, acquire your Tombstone. For Co-Op for TranZit, head to the Power Station and buy the Tombstone Perk, then die and respawn next round; where you died is where your Tombstone can be collected.

“Standard Equipment May Vary” appears as a note before the next equipment-related objective: in TranZit, acquire 4 different equippable items in one game.

Each area has unique equipment to build: Turbine in the Bus Depot, Zombie Shield in the Diner, and Electricity Trap in the Power Station.

You Have No Power Over Me is another TranZit challenge. The requirement is to defeat “him” without being attacked by “him.” The described method is to turn on the power to summon the Avogadro, which can be killed instantly with an EMP Grenade.

Another TranZit step asks you to kill one of the denizens of the forest while it is latched onto you. The guidance is to enter the fog, have a Denizen attach to your head, and then spam R3 to stab it off.

For the alternative transportation objective, enter the fog and, when a Denizen attaches to your head, run into a green lamp and jump into the portal. The list emphasizes that the power must be on for this to work.

To buy 2 different perks before turning on the power, use the Turbine to activate Perk Machines without enabling power. The easiest path suggested is Quick Revive in the Bus Depot and Speed Cola in the Diner.

Revolution DLC Pack 1 Trophy List & Guide

In Die Rise, be the architect of their instruction. Complete one of the Die Rise easter eggs using the guides: Die Rise Easter Egg (Richtofen) or Die Rise Easter Egg (Maxis).

Die Rise also includes a “fling 10 zombies in one game” requirement. Build the Trample Steam and lead 10 zombies toward it so they get flung and killed.

For the power timing objective, reach round 10 before turning on the power. The note here is to avoid turning on the power until after Round 10.

Another Die Rise target is to use Pack-a-Punch and all perk machines in one game. The list says all perks are found in the elevators, and because you can only carry 4 perks at once, you need to go down with Quick Revive and buy the others. Don’t forget to use Pack-a-Punch, including while you’re in the elevator.

Kill 5 zombies with a single shot from the Sliquifier by shooting it at the ground so the zombies slip through an elevator shaft and die.

To face the dragon head-on before reaching Round 2, kill zombies but leave one alive. Then enter the elevator on the left of the spawn, jump across the building, turn on the power, and jump onto an elevator shaft to reach the top of the dragon rooftop.

For self-revival in Die Rise, get the Who’s Who Perk, go down, and then revive yourself.

In Diner Turned, get a kill with each primary weapon in a Public Match. The mode description says 3 players are zombies and one player is human, and the human must get a kill with every weapon—this is described as automatic if you keep getting kills and win using the 6 available guns.

Still in Diner Turned, retrieve a chained Cymbal Monkey in a Public Match. Cymbal Monkeys can spawn when you kill zombies, so pick them up and throw them.

Another Diner Turned goal is to kill the human while its decoy is active in a Public Match. When a Monkey Bomb is thrown, kill the still player.

Uprising DLC Pack 2 Trophy List & Guide

In Mob of the Dead, break the cycle.

Complete the Mob of the Dead easter egg using the guide provided. Then work through the escape plan objective and build the plane to take off to Pack-a-Punch.

Mob of the Dead also includes obtaining the Hell’s Retriever, with a guide referenced for that specific pickup.

Next is completing the cycle 3 times: build the plane, ride it to Pack-a-Punch, and repeat the process two more times.

There’s also a weapon conversion objective using a kit. Build the Acid Gat Kit, then convert the Blundergat, using the referenced guide.

For the Brutus-related tasks, when Brutus the Warden spawns, let him attack the Mystery Box, Perk Machines, Workbenches, and the plane.

To kill 10 zombies at once with a new beverage, take Electric Cherry, weaken zombies, and reload around 10 zombies (the list says one at a time is fine).

For an “open a door without spending points” objective, during Afterlife (ghost mode) zap an electric panel on the wall to open doors.

Survival goals include surviving an entire round on the bridge on round 15 or higher. The guidance says to head to Pack-a-Punch on round 15+ and survive for one full round.

Use and upgrade all traps before round 10. The specific traps listed are Fan Trap in Warden’s Office, and Sniper Trap in the Docks, noted as the only trap to upgrade. The upgrade method described is activating it, using Afterlife, and zapping the open hatch in the tower.

Vengeance DLC Pack 3 Trophy List & Guide

In Buried, be their pawn.

Complete one of the Buried easter eggs using the guides: Buried Easter Egg (Richtofen) or Buried Easter Egg (Maxis).

To acquire a perk for free, head into the Ghost Mansion, move toward the maze, kill the remaining ghosts, and have the final one drop a Perk.

Another Buried requirement is to access all areas with the help of your new friend in one game. This includes freeing Arthur/Leroy and opening the 7 barriers around the map by giving him Booze from the Saloon.

Drop the beat on 10 zombies in one game by building the Subsurface Resonator and Turbine, then activating both buildables so they kill 10 zombies.

For candy delivery, head to the Candy Store and feed Candy to Arthur/Leroy.

To Pack-a-Punch a weapon during round 1, do it before anyone uses the bank or weapon locker. The method described is to shoot and melee each zombie on Round 1 except the last, use chalk outlines to earn more points, and enter through the ghost house before Round 2.

“Rewrite history” requires acquiring the Time Bomb from the Mystery Box and using it to turn back time.

To survive an entire round within the maze on round 20 or higher, head into the hedge maze on Round 19 and stay until the trophy pops.

Another objective is purchasing LSAT off the wall and Pack-a-Punch it. The instructions are: in the spawn area get 2,000 points, climb the stairs, and hold Square on the wall-buy before the stairs collapse to get the LSAT.

When the Revolution Comes includes returning to processing. Use Arthur/Leroy to destroy the fountain with Booze, then enter the hedge maze and use an explosive to destroy the fountain in the center and drop into the portal.

Apocalypse DLC Pack 4 Trophy List & Guide

In Origins, release Samantha.

Complete the Origins easter egg using the guide provided.

Another Origins task is to share a dug up weapon. Grab the Shovel and use it on a Dig Site until a weapon appears, then allow your co-op partner to pick it up.

To activate generators without allowing one to stop, there are 6 generators around the map, and you should complete them before Round 10.

Origins also includes freeing yourself and another player from the panzer soldat’s claw in one game by letting the Panzer grab you, then shooting the claw with your gun.

Build all elemental staffs in one game. Guides are referenced for upgrading and building each staff type, including Fire, Ice, Wind, and Lightning.

Ride the tank around the map without getting off by standing on the tank in the Church to activate it. It will stop outside Generator 2, so stay on top of it until you can activate it again.

Revive another player four different ways in one game. The list spells out all revival methods: hold Square to revive them; use Quick Revive and hold Square; use a Maxis Drone on a downed player; and use an upgraded staff then press Left on the D-Pad.

You can also revive three players and activate a generator in one game using zombie blood. Zombie Blood is a random Power-Up drop; once you have it, activate a generator, grab another Zombie Blood, and revive players 3 times.

To complete all 4 challenges in one game in Origins, the four listed challenges are: fill 4 chests to get the One-Inch Punch, wield all the ultimate staffs in one game, and use the referenced staff upgrade guides for Fire, Ice, Wind, and Lightning.
