Black Ops 1 Trophy Guide: Full Platinum Checklist for PS5 and DLC

If you’re chasing the Black Ops 1 Platinum on PlayStation, you’re looking at 48 trophies in total. The good news is that most of them are straightforward once you know the game’s “checklist” moments—so this guide lays out a practical roadmap and a complete trophy breakdown for the base game and the DLC. It also calls out which extra achievements are tied to the Season Pass via the DLC Map Packs, including the trophies that are exclusive to Zombies.

There are 15 camo unlocks in Call of Duty: Black Ops 1. If you’re also trying to track down every camouflage and understand how to earn the classified set, you’ll want to follow a dedicated camo checklist.

The trophy list below is split into two categories: trophies from the main (base) game and trophies from separate DLC. If your goal is only Platinum, you only need the base-game trophies.

Two trophies—“Date Night” and “In The Money”—have been removed because those features aren’t available in the PS4 and PS5 ports.

Black Ops 1 Trophy List & Guide

Take down Castro with a headshot.

During “Operation 40”, when you breach Castro’s room, aim for the head. Wait until the reticle tightens enough for a clean, precise headshot.

Ensure your squad escapes safely from Cuba.

Complete Mission 1: Operation 40.

Destroy all slingshot targets in 3 attempts.

In “Vorkuta”, you’ll fire at three targets with a manmade slingshot. Aim slightly higher than you normally would. If you miss even one shot, restart the checkpoint.

Destroy all enemies on vehicles during the prison break.

During Vorkuta, make sure you shoot every motorcycle and truck during the escape sequence.

Give me liberty, or give me death

Complete Mission 2: Vorkuta.

Receive orders from Lancer.

Complete Mission 3: U.S.D.D.

Sabotage the Soviet space program.

Complete Mission 4: Executive Order.

Use no more than 6 TOW guided missiles to destroy the tanks defending Khe Sanh.

Near the end of Mission 5: SOG, TOW missiles become available. Your task is to destroy all six tanks using one missile per tank. If you fail a shot, restart.

Break the siege in the battle of Khe Sanh.

Complete Mission 5: SOG.

Kill 10 NVA with Dragon’s Breath rounds.

Woods hands you a SPAS-12 shotgun loaded with Dragon’s Breath ammunition. Just shoot 10 enemies with those rounds so they burn to death.

Rack up 20 NVA kills using air support in Hue City.

During Mission 6: The Defector, you receive a radio (Right D-Pad) to call in air support. Point it toward the enemy-heavy buildings and tanks to rack up more than 20 eliminations.

Retrieve the dossier and the defector from Hue City.

Complete Mission 6: The Defector.

Use only dual wield weapons to escape Kowloon.

In Mission 7: Numbers, you’ll start with dual-wield weapons equipped as your default. Use only them until you’re able to swap later, then be sure to pick up the dual-wield option when it’s offered.

Complete Mission 7: Numbers.

Escape the ship with 2:15 left on the timer in Veteran.

On Veteran difficulty only in Mission 8: Project Nova, you’ll want to clear the commandos, plant the bomb, and then move straight to the objective—so set your own timer to match the target window.

Complete Mission 8: Project Nova.

Use the Grim Reaper to destroy the MG emplacement.

In Mission 9: Victor Charlie, you’ll get the Grim Reaper (rocket launcher). Just destroy the MG emplacement Bowman tells you to.

During Mission 9: Victor Charlie, after your first firefight, stay silent and melee enemies.

When the objective shifts, you’re expected to keep quiet and close in with melee. It’s hard to miss—don’t sprint in or get in front of enemies who still have their backs turned.

Destroy all targets and structures while moving up the river.

In Mission 10: Crash Site, you’ll control a boat that lets you steer and shoot, including rockets and a machine gun. Follow the river and destroy everything you see.

Find the Soviet connection in Laos.

Complete Mission 10: Crash Site.

Guide the squad through the Soviet outpost without them getting killed.

In Mission 11: WMD, you’ll be guiding your team from an overhead perspective. Use orders to move them into buildings for safety and keep them at distance from enemies rather than letting them run aimlessly.

Enter the Soviet relay station undetected.

In Mission 11: WMD, you’ll have a silenced AUG. Move slowly and carefully, and when two enemies are close together, line up a headshot on one—your teammate should handle the next.

Get to the POW compound in the Hind using only rockets.

In Mission 12: Payback, you can use a Chopper. Don’t use the gun—stick to rockets.

Incinerate 10 enemies with the flamethrower attachment in the POW compound.

After the Chopper segment in Mission 12: Payback, you can pick up a flamethrower carried by Mason and use it to burn 10 enemies across the level.

Kill 7 monkeys in under 10 seconds in the Rebirth labs.

During Mission 13: Rebirth, you’ll jump down an elevator where monkeys are in cages. Count seven, then start throwing grenades and shooting them.

Survive the NOVA 6 gas on Rebirth Island without dying.

When playing as Hudson in Mission 13: Rebirth, the main rule is simple: don’t die before taking the mask off. Recruit difficulty will make this easier.

Complete “Mission 14: Revelations”.

Destroy both helicopters using one TOW guided missile from the deck of the ship.

In Mission 15: Redemption, you have a Valkyrie Rocket. You can enter guide mode to shoot down the helicopters—just wait until they’re close enough to both be within the effective range at once.

Complete the campaign on any difficulty.

Complete all missions on any difficulty; Veteran is recommended because it includes additional trophies tied to that difficulty tier.

Complete the campaign on Hardened or Veteran difficulty.

Even though Hardened works, Veteran is preferred since more trophies require that setting.

Kill 5 enemies with a single frag grenade.

There’s a good opportunity during Mission 1: Operation 40 in a courtyard filled with enemies. Cook a grenade and use it to secure five kills.

Use the explosive bolts to kill 30 enemies across the campaign.

You’ll have a crossbow during Mission 4: Executive Order. Eliminate enemies, and if you run out of bolts, restart—remember it’s 30 total kills, not 30 kills in one uninterrupted attempt.

Complete Operation 40, Vorkuta, and Executive Order on Veteran difficulty.

Complete the campaign missions listed on Veteran difficulty.

Complete SOG and The Defector on Veteran.

Complete Numbers, Project Nova, and Victor Charlie on Veteran.

Complete Crash Site, WMD, and Payback on Veteran.

Complete Rebirth and Redemption on Veteran.

Find all the hidden intel.

There are 42 Intel items to collect throughout the Campaign.

You can’t use “3ARC INTEL” in the terminal, because it will cause the trophy to glitch.

Reach rank 10 in Combat Training.

In Multiplayer, select Combat Training and keep playing against bots until you reach Rank 10.

Demonstrate killer economic sensibilities by taking down 3 enemies with a single bullet.

In Zombies, obtain an Insta-Kill and line up three zombies with a Shotgun or Sniper Rifle, then fire.

Buy every weapon from the walls in a single Zombies match.

This is easiest in Kino der Toten, and you’ll be looking for all wall purchases there.

Fire a Pack-a-Punched Ballistic Knife at a downed ally to revive them from a distance.

This one needs a second player. Grab the Ballistic Knife from the Mystery Box and Pack-a-Punch it. Then have your partner go down in the theater area of Kino der Toten while you stay in the Pack-a-Punch room. Shoot your teammate with the Pack-a-Punch Ballistic Knife to revive them.

Hands Off the Merchandise

Kill the Pentagon thief before it can steal your load-out.

The Pentagon Thief spawns in FIVE. It’s easiest to eliminate him by following a dedicated approach that uses Claymores and explosives.

Shoot at or be shot by an ally using a Pack-a-Punch crossbow, then kill six zombies with the explosion.

This also requires a second player. Get the Crossbow from the Mystery Box and upgrade it through Pack-a-Punch. Train a horde of zombies, then shoot your ally until they’re surrounded; the resulting explosion will handle the kills.

Access the terminal and fight the forces of the Cosmic Silverback in Dead Ops Arcade.

From the computer terminal behind the chair in the main menu, enter the code “DOA”.

In Dead Ops Arcade, use a Speed Boost to mow through 20+ enemies at once.

The Speed Boost is triggered with R1. To make it easier, practice by training zombies on higher rounds in Dead Ops Arcade, then blast through a stacked group.

Break free from the torture chair.

In the main menu, spam L2 and R2.

Play Zork on the terminal.

After breaking free in the main menu, interact with the computer and type “ZORK”.

Why these Black Ops 1 trophies matter for Platinum hunters

The overall structure of the trophy grind is built for efficiency: the Platinum target is locked to the base-game list, while the DLC trophies are optional extras tied to the Season Pass. That means you can plan your campaign run to focus on the missions and mechanics that unlock the bulk of progress, then branch out only if you want to keep going with Zombies and Arcade challenges.

  • Platinum is base-game only, so you can ignore DLC trophies unless you want extra completion.
  • Veteran routing is the biggest time sink, since multiple mission-specific trophies are tied to that difficulty.
  • Intel and terminal rules matter: the 42 Intel items are required, and using “3ARC INTEL” can break the trophy.
  • Zombies trophies often require coordination (second-player mechanics for Ballistic Knife revives and the Pack-a-Punch crossbow chain).

DLC Map Packs: what changes with each Zombies update

The Season Pass map drops expand the trophy list through new Zombies mechanics—new traps, Wonder Weapons, and side objectives like easter eggs, special bosses, and survival-style challenges. The DLC sections below show what each map-specific pack asks you to do, including the most “systems-heavy” tasks like hacking, trap usage, and multi-enemy setup.

First Strike Map Pack 1 Trophy List & Guide

In Ascension, escape on all 3 lunar landers.

After powering up Ascension, there are three lunar landers you can summon and bring back to spawn.

In Ascension, kill at least 5 zombies using 1 Gersh device.

The Gersh Device replaces the Monkey Bomb in the Mystery Box. When thrown, it pulls in and kills zombies.

In Ascension, Pack-a-Punch a weapon before Round 8.

Turn on Power, activate all three Lunar Landers, and earn 5,000 points to use Pack-a-Punch.

In Ascension, kill a space monkey with a fire trap.

Near Pack-a-Punch, there’s a fire trap on the wall you can purchase. Activate it during a Space Monkey round (when the sky turns red) and lure the monkeys toward it by getting Speed Cola.

Escalation Map Pack 2 Trophy List & Guide

In Call of the Dead, send the crew to Paradise in solo or co-op.

Complete the Call of the Dead easter egg in solo or co-op (and you can use a guide).

In Call of the Dead, send the crew to Paradise in co-op.

Complete the Call of the Dead easter egg in co-op (and you can use a guide).

In Call of the Dead, make a zombie explode using the V-R11.

Get the V-R11 from the Mystery Box and Pack-a-Punch it, then shoot the same zombie three times.

In Call of the Dead, kill 10 zombies with one Scavenger shot from over 100 feet away.

The Scavenger comes from the Mystery Box. Once you have it, run far from your zombie train and fire a bullet—this distracts them and causes the explosion. Alternatively, have a friend train zombies at spawn while you stay in the lighthouse.

In Call of the Dead, cut the lights on the Director.

Kill George Romero by shooting him until his light shifts from blue to orange. A guide exists for killing him quickly.

Annihilation Map Pack 3 Trophy List & Guide

In Shangri-La, acquire the focusing stone.

Complete the Shangri-La easter egg (using the guide).

In Shangri-La, kill a Shrieker zombie while blinded by it.

Let a Shrieker scream at you, then kill it while you’re dazed.

In Shangri-La, dispose of a Napalm zombie without it harming any players.

Kill a Napalm zombie without letting it burn or explode on any player—stay distant and use PhD Flopper.

In Shangri-La, get something from the monkeys.

Allow a zombie to drop a Power-Up but don’t collect it. Wait for a monkey to steal it, then kill the monkey and take the Power-Up.

In Shangri-La, use the 31-79 JGb215 on each type of zombie.

The 31-79 JGb215 is the Wonder Weapon in Shangri-La obtained from the Mystery Box. Use it on a regular zombie, monkey, Napalm zombie, and Shrieker zombie.

Rezurrection Map Pack 4 Trophy List & Guide

In Moon, complete Richtofen’s grand scheme.

Complete the Moon easter egg (using the guide).

One Small Hack for a Man…

This guide covers spawn locations for the Hacker Device and which items you can hack.

In Moon, become trapped in the Receiving Area and escape using resurrection in co-op.

This trophy requires 2 players or more.

Stay in the Quick Revive area on Moon and wait for the excavators to breach Tunnel 6 and Tunnel 11. Die without being revived, and you’ll respawn next round.

In Moon, purchase every perk in one game.

To do this, you must buy every Perk at least once in a single Moon match. You can either die and have a friend revive you, or use Quick Revive, or the Hacker to obtain the following:

Fully Armed and Operational

In Moon, acquire 3 pack-a-punched weapons at the same time.

Get Mule Kick from the Perk Machine, purchase 3 guns, then head to Pack-a-Punch and upgrade all of them.

In Moon, prevent each excavator from breaching the base in one game.

Pick up the Hacker (as described above) and remain in the Quick Revive zone. Every few rounds, an excavator will attempt to breach a tunnel or the Biodome. Hack it from within the Quick Revive room to stop the breach, then wait until you manage to obtain Epsilon, Pi, and Omicron. Note: this outcome depends on RNG.
