Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok Transcendent Weapon Progression Guide

The Endless Ragnarok expansion for Granblue Fantasy: Relink opens up new character progression options, including Master Traits, Sigils, and Summons. Still, one of the biggest reasons to jump in is the introduction of Transcendent weapons—an endgame-focused upgrade path that reshapes how you treat older weapon lines.

Transcendent weapons are positioned as the new endgame tier, effectively replacing Ascension and Terminus weapons. This guide breaks down what Weapon Transcendence is, how to unlock it, where to farm the resources, and what changes once you reach the higher levels.

If you’re unsure where to begin the Endless Ragnarok quest chain, this walkthrough will get you pointed in the right direction.

What are Transcendent Weapons in Endless Ragnarok?

  • Zeta’s First Stage Stinger Weapon Transcendence
  • Stage 4 Stinger Weapon Transcendence for Maglielle
  • Final Awakening for Maglielle’s Terminus weapon

Transcendent weapons—also referred to as Weapon Transcendence—aren’t entirely new weapon models you craft from scratch. Instead, it’s a new upgrade system applied to existing weapons. Once you fully upgrade a weapon to level 150, you’ll be able to use Weapon Transcendence to apply a major power increase.

It’s also important to note that this system doesn’t apply to weapons that already have Awakening. That means Ascension and Terminus weapons can’t be improved using Transcendence.

As you raise Transcendence through its tiers, you’ll unlock additional weapon collection bonuses tied to Mastery Points. Because of that, your long-term plan should be to eventually upgrade every weapon for a character.

How to Unlock Weapon Transcendence

To gain access, first complete the Rank-up quest, then begin the Endless Ragnarok DLC quests in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. After that, Weapon Transcendence becomes available.

Unlocking each of the seven Transcendence levels requires specific materials. The first Transcendence tier is a particularly large jump, and once it’s applied the weapon effectively becomes a Transcendent weapon. Even that initial step is stated to make it stronger than the Terminus weapon.

Materials can be earned through the new quest content, but the most efficient option is playing the new Conflux rogue-like mode. In particular, Cycle 4 is said to provide enough materials to unlock up to Transcendent level 3. As you continue progressing, more quests and additional Conflux Cycles will open up, letting you push weapon upgrades even further.

Transcendent Weapon Trait Swap in Endless Ragnarok

Weapon Transcendence doesn’t just raise raw power—it also introduces trait swapping. This lets you adjust your weapon’s traits to better suit your build, or experiment with different setups while still using the same weapon base.

Not every trait can be swapped. When you preview Weapon Transcendence, the game shows a list of which weapon traits are eligible.

How to Swap Traits

  1. Open the menu and go to Gear.
  2. Select your character.
  3. Confirm the Transcendent weapon is equipped.
  4. Under the weapon, choose the new “Swap Traits” option.
  5. Use the trait swap menu to select a new trait for each eligible slot.

There are 4 different slots (top to bottom). Each trait indicates which slot or slots it can occupy, shown with a yellow highlight. For example, if a trait highlights the second and fourth slots, it means you can equip it into either slot II or slot IV on the Transcendent weapon.

With Weapon Transcendence, you’ll have less reason to spend time fully upgrading Terminus weapons—since Transcendent upgrades and the trait system are meant to carry you into the next stage of endgame progression.
