Black Ops 7 Season 4 Reloaded Arrives June 25 With New Zombies, Maps
Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone will receive their mid-season update, Season 4 Reloaded, on June 25th. The patch is set to introduce a new Zombies map, additional multiplayer maps, and a fresh Warzone mode. On top of the gameplay content, the Summer Event Pass will add Nicolas Cage as the latest celebrity crossover.
Season 4 Reloaded arrives June 25 with Zombies, multiplayer, and Warzone updates
The mid-season drop for Black Ops 7 and Warzone is scheduled for June 25 as part of Season 4 Reloaded. Alongside the new map releases, the update also expands Warzone with a new limited-time experience, and it continues the game’s summer crossover programming through the Summer Event Pass featuring Nicolas Cage.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 multiplayer and Zombies content
Season 4 Reloaded adds multiple map and mode changes across multiplayer and Zombies, including brand-new Zombies content tied to the Dark Aether.
Multiplayer map additions
- Zenith is a new multiplayer map set in a luxurious cliffside compound.
- Launch returns as a remaster from the original Black Ops.
- With Black Ops Classic becoming a permanent offering in Black Ops 7, four additional maps are added to the rotation: Launch, Fringe, Hacienda, and Gridlock.
Mode and weapon gameplay updates
- Team Blueprint Sharpshooter rotates weapon blueprints across matches and provides bonuses tied to elimination streaks.
- The update also brings the newly released AN-94 Assault Rifle, making it a prominent pick in the new blueprint-focused lineup.
- Knife Fight shifts players into close-quarters combat.
- This is framed as a great moment to try the newly added melee weapon The Executioner’s Duet, a dual-axe option.
New Zombies map and enemy lineup
The centerpiece Zombies addition is Kowakujō, a new round-based map set inside a feudal Japanese castle located in the Dark Aether. The area is described as being surrounded by volcanoes and fire, setting up a hostile environment from the moment you drop in.
- New enemies include the Oni, which uses a kanabō war club and electrical abilities.
- There are also Hellhounds and Scorched Zombies, emphasizing the “hellhole” theme through fire-driven threats.
- A new Wonder Weapon is added as part of the Zombies update.
- An additional legacy weapon joins the Mystery Box.
Zombies features and progression additions
- Legendary Hellping Hound GobbleGum is included.
- A Main Quest for XP and rewards is added.
- A Cursed mode introduces new Pack-a-Punch Camos.
- The Ghostly Rifleman Trap is also part of the update.
The release is described as a fairly standard mid-season expansion, especially since Season 3 already added a round-based Zombies map along with other multiplayer map content.
Warzone mode changes and Rebirth Island summer refresh
Season 4 Reloaded also targets Warzone with a pair of notable updates: a limited-time mode built around weapon cycling on Resurgence maps, and a seasonal visual/weather shift for Rebirth Island.
- Squad Gun Game is added as a limited-time mode. It tasks squads of three with cycling through every weapon on Resurgence maps.
- The Champion’s Quest returns as a multi-step mission for elite squads, culminating in an explosive finish.
- Rebirth Island gets a summer makeover: winter weather is removed while Season 2’s Turbine POI stays in the sunnier setting.
Summer of Action Event Pass brings Nicolas Cage, plus a limited-time trial
Nicolas Cage is featured as the lead for the Summer of Action Event Pass. The pass is supported by additional programming throughout the event calendar, including daily and event-based drops.
- A Daily Login Event is included.
- New Multiplayer and Resurgence Ranked Series Events are part of the lineup.
- The Kowakujō Event runs alongside the pass.
- These activities reward players with Loadout items, Weapon Camos, and Double XP Tokens.
For players who haven’t purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 yet—or don’t have access through Game Pass—there will be a free trial of Black Ops 7 Multiplayer and Zombies for a limited time. The trial is stated to include the new multiplayer maps and access to Kowakujō.
