Travel to Widow
- Prerequisite: Complete “Priority: The Citadel 2”
- Location: Serpent Nebula – Widow – Citadel – Normandy Dock: Bay D24
This side objective unlocks after you finish “Priority: The Citadel 2.” That story milestone refreshes the Citadel with a fresh set of side missions, including this one. The Citadel serves as the galaxy’s central hub, and it’s always shown in the western sector of the Milky Way map.
Meet the Soldier
Go to Normandy Dock: Bay D24. Near the Normandy Airlock, you’ll find a Soldier discussing Prothean technology tied to Garvug. Before long, his commanding officer pulls him up over the radio for almost revealing the name of the Crucible through an unprotected channel. Oops indeed.
Find the Data Drives
- Location: Valhallan Threshold – Paz – Garvug
The Prothean Data Drives are located in the Valhallan Threshold, a region situated close to the Milky Way’s northern edge. Travel there first, then head east-southeast to the Paz system. Expect to spend roughly 240 fuel to make the trip.
Once you arrive, run a Scan on the system’s only planet, Garvug, to verify you can recover something from it. Enter Garvug’s orbit, then use the planetary Scanner to pinpoint the Data Drives. From there, launch a Probe to retrieve them.
While you’re in the area, it’s also worth checking whether you can pick up the other Search and Rescue items available in the Valhallan Threshold.
Deliver the Data Drives
After you’ve recovered the Data Drives, head back to the Soldier at Bay D24 and speak with him to hand them over. Completion nets +5 Reputation, 15,000 credits, and adds 40 TMS to the Alliance Engineering Corps. This time, he doesn’t even try to mention the Crucible.
