Black Ops 2 Zombies Guide: Where to Find Every Acid Gat Kit Piece
You can upgrade the Blundergat with the Acid Gat Kit in Mob of the Dead, and here’s a step-by-step guide to help you track down every piece and build the wonder weapon in Black Ops 2 Zombies. The kit is made up of three parts, and below you’ll find their locations plus where to craft it.
In Mob of the Dead, nobody breaks the rules of death—but with an updated Easter egg walkthrough, you’ll have a better shot at breaking the cycle in Black Ops 2.
If your goal is to get the Blundergat upgrade with less hassle, this guide also explains how to do it without relying on the Mystery Box.
Acid Gat Part #1 (Motor Location)
The Motor can be found in the Warden’s Office:
- The first spawn is near the Uzi wall-buy, close to the locked door that has a plane part.
- The next spawn shows up in the left corner of the Mystery Box spawn area.
- The final spawn is by the boarded-up fireplace to the left of Speed Cola.
Acid Gat Part #2 (Case Location)
The Case can be found in the Cell Block:
- The first possible spot is on a trolley to the right, just outside the library when you spawn in.
- The next spawn is across from the Afterlife box in Michigan—also opposite the stairs leading to the Showers.
- The last spawn is under the stairs from the Warden’s Office, roughly toward the middle of the Cell Block, by the B23R wall-buy.
Acid Gat Part #3 (Acid Bottle Location)
The Acid Bottle can be found in the Infirmary:
- The first spawn can be on a metal tray in the left section of the Infirmary.
- The next spawn is in the corner of the room with the bloodied bathtubs.
- The final spawn is next to a bloodied bathtub, opposite the Mystery Box spawn.
How to Build the Acid Gat in Mob of the Dead
You’ll craft the Acid Gat at one of three workbenches:
- Near Electric Cherry in the upstairs Cell Block area.
- At the back right corner of the Cafeteria’s Mess Hall.
- Under the Docks, to the left of the generator room.
I like to build the Acid Gat in the Cell Block area. It isn’t the most convenient option, but I prefer it because I don’t want to lose the weapon in the same way players might lose something like the Zombie Shield when it’s time to reclaim it.
You can now trade in the Blundergat using the Acid Gat Kit to convert it.
The Acid Gat is also highly recommended: when you fire it, it creates a Monkey Bomb-style pull effect that draws zombies toward the shot location, and the splash damage is quite deadly even on higher rounds.
If you ever want to switch back, you can return to the conversion kit to revert to the Blundergat—while still keeping its Pack-a-Punch version intact.
