The Siege of Charles-Towne: Last Mission in AC4 Black Flag Resynced Sequence Six

The Siege of Charles-Towne is the 24th mission in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced, and it’s also the last and final objective in Sequence Six—so if you’re working through the campaign, this is the moment where the story segment wraps up before you head back to Nassau.

Checklists

Before you start, keep in mind where this mission sits in the flow of the game: it’s the 24th mission overall and the third and final mission in Sequence Six.

How to Start The Siege of Charles-Towne

To begin, sail to the northern area of the map at 456,922. That’s where you’ll find the Queen Anne’s Revenge anchored. Pull alongside the ship to trigger the quest.

As soon as you’re in, you’ll quickly be pushed into shallow water. From there, your job is to tail the gunboat ahead. You’ll also encounter a watchtower that will spot you if you get too close, so you’ll need to dock the boat and proceed on foot to sabotage the bell.

Head west toward the bell. When you can’t move any farther, jump off into the haystack.

  • Hop into the haystack and assassinate the guard closest to you
  • Whistle to lure the next guard, then assassinate him
  • Move around behind the two soldiers and double assassinate both
  • Take out the final guard on the right
  • Cut and sabotage the bell

Tail the Gunboat, Then Switch to Rowboat Stealth

After sabotaging the bell, climb onto the western building and use it to get back onto the Jackdaw. Continue following the gunboat until it eventually docks.

At that point, you’ll need to switch tactics: the mission moves you from boat travel to on-foot movement because the route changes over to a rowboat.

Run along parallel to the rowboat and push into the shipwreck. Climb up and shimmy along to the right until you reach a beam. You can spot the rowboat moving beneath you.

Jump across to the north, slip into the bushes, and wait until the rowboat leaves. Then eliminate the two pirates and climb up toward the east.

Work north across the beams, follow them into the building, and decide how you want to approach the clearance.

You can either deal with the guards or skip straight through by moving across the chandeliers and exiting through the western gap.

After the Cutscene: Continue the Chase

Once the cutscene ends, you can choose between two options: take down the two officers if you want it cleared, or simply climb up and keep following the boat.

Head northeast along the beams and branches, then drop down into the cemetery to keep tailing Officer Ryder.

Unfortunately, the pirates aren’t able to stay quiet, and the guards will be alerted to your presence. Ryder attempts to escape, but he still has the key you need.

Get the Key, Unlock the Door, and Finish Sequence 6

Now you can chase down the Captain. If you’d rather avoid unnecessary combat, you can ignore a lot of the officers you run into during the pursuit.

Eventually, he reaches a locked door. Close the distance, take him down, and retrieve the key.

Edward uses the key to unlock the door, then collects the medicine and returns it to Blackbeard. After the cutscene, Sequence 6 is complete, and you’ll be sent back to Nassau.

Up Next: Side Quests

With Sequence Six wrapped up, the next step is moving into side quests to keep your progress going beyond the mainline objectives.
