Palworld 1.0 Set for July 10, No Price Increase Says Pocketpair
With the Palworld 1.0 update arriving just days from now, Pocketpair has confirmed the full release won’t come with a price bump. The developer says it will keep the game at its current cost as part of a thank-you to the community that stuck with it through its long run in Early Access. Palworld officially moves into version 1.0 on July 10, and that patch is poised to bring a slate of new creatures to capture plus a range of gameplay changes for players returning to the Palpagos Islands.
Palworld has had a packed journey over the last couple of years as it headed toward its complete debut. When it first launched in Early Access in January 2024, it made an immediate splash, selling 7 million copies within just five days. Since then, the game has grown steadily with major updates like Sakurajima, Feybreak, and Tides of Terraria. Still, the ride wasn’t completely smooth—Nintendo filed a lawsuit targeting Palworld, adding major pressure to the game’s public narrative. Now, with those legal concerns appearing to weaken and 1.0 nearly here, Pocketpair’s decision to hold the line on pricing feels like a direct goodwill gesture to longtime fans.
Palworld Confirms No Price Change for 1.0 Launch
- Palworld 1.0 release date: July 10, 2026
- Price: $29.99
In a post on X, Pocketpair reiterated that Palworld will launch with the same $29.99 price tag when it enters Early Access on July 10. The message frames the choice as a deliberate one: rather than raising the cost to reflect all the added content arriving with Palworld 1.0, the studio opted to keep things steady as a way to show appreciation to players who supported the title along the way. It’s also a notable contrast in today’s market—where GTA 6 is listed at $80—because Palworld is sticking closer to what many people associate with its indie roots and aiming to stay accessible even at launch.

Before this announcement, parts of the Palworld community worried that a substantial price increase could discourage new players from jumping in. Those concerns make sense, since Palworld is at its best as a co-op multiplayer game, meaning a lower entry cost can help friends convince each other to team up right away when the 1.0 update lands. With Palworld 1.0 reportedly packed with 27 pages’ worth of patch notes, there’s likely to be plenty for both newcomers and veterans to dig into together during those first sessions.
Several new Pals have already been teased for Palworld 1.0, including Dupin, Solenne, Sekhmet, Hoodle, and more. On top of the new roster, Pocketpair is also reshaping the game’s Wildlife Sanctuaries. In 1.0, each sanctuary will be built around its own distinct ecosystem, featuring rare Pals and tougher bosses than players may be used to. The update is also set to add a large new land area for exploration, along with refreshed quests and an all-new main storyline to follow as you travel across the Palpagos Islands.

For the full release, Pocketpair notes that players aren’t required to start from scratch—there’s no hard mandate to create a brand-new world. That said, it’s strongly recommended that you delete your existing world and begin a new one to get the complete 1.0 experience. If you’re worried about losing the Pals you’ve already captured, the Global Palbox is available to help move your creatures between worlds under your account.
