Crimson Desert Guide: Unlock Every Unyielding Hero Armor Piece

Pearl Abyss has added the full Unyielding Hero Armor collection to Crimson Desert with update 1.13, bringing five distinct armor pieces into the game. Each item is tied to Sealed Abyss Artifact challenges or boss fights, and this guide walks you through where to find every piece and what you need to do to secure them.

All Unyielding Hero Armor Set Piece Locations in Crimson Desert

There are five items in the Unyielding Hero Armor set:

• Unyielding Hero Plate Armor — earned by defeating Cassius Morten during the Chapter 6 main quest Traitor.
• Unyielding Hero Plate Helm — bought from the Back Alley Shop in Calphate (northwest of Hernand City). You must have already defeated Cassius Morten.
• Unyielding Hero Plate Gloves — completed via Goyen’s Advice Battle challenge Into the Barrage (defeat 5 enemies at once using a cannon).
• Unyielding Hero Plate Cloak — completed via White Crow’s Gaze Hunting challenge Hunter’s Discipline (defeat 3 hyenas without traveling more than 20 meters).
• Unyielding Hero Plate Boots — completed via Master Du’s Dare Above the Law challenge The Vanished Wagon (sell 3 wagons to the fence).

If your save file already met the unlock requirements for the Unyielding Hero Plate Armor set before the update went live, the armor pieces will be stored in your Private Storage the next time you load your save. The Unyielding Hero Plate Helm is the only exception, since that one still requires an in-game purchase from the Back Alley Shop.

How to Get Unyielding Hero Plate Armor

The Unyielding Hero Plate Armor drops as a reward for defeating Cassius Morten in the Chapter 6 questline, Traitor. To reach that fight, you must first clear these main quests:

• Blazing Beacon
• Below Banners
• Turning Tides

Once those are completed, a new quest called The Unyielding Shields unlocks. Inside it, A Thousand Troops appears as the first subquest. Finishing that subquest then unlocks Traitor, where you’ll battle Cassius Morten and claim the Unyielding Hero’s Plate Armor along with the Shield of Betrayal as rewards.

How to Get Unyielding Hero Plate Helm

The Unyielding Hero Plate Helm can be purchased from the Back Alley Shop vendor Thrak in Calphade for 16.84 Silver. Calphade sits northwest of Hernand City, and the Back Alley Shop is located south of the Church of Calphade.

How to Get Unyielding Hero Plate Gloves

The Unyielding Hero Plate Gloves come from completing Goyen’s Advice Battle – Into the Barrage, which requires you to defeat 5 enemies at once with a cannon.

The Sealed Abyss Artifact that starts this challenge is located just east of the Deep Fog Basin, north of the first “N” of Hernand on the map.

To clear the fight, you’ll want a spot where a cannon works and enemies can be grouped up quickly. The guide’s best recommended attempt is during the Chapter 8 quest Rebel Suppression at Thornbriar Fortress. You can also get a chance to use cannons against a large group at Fort Windridge, near Three Brothers’ Cliff, southwest of Dewhaven (Delesyia) during the Balthazar, the Wyvernflame Faction Quest.

If you miss both of those, the best alternative location is the Royal Trading Post in Demeniss (shown above). There are two training fields there, and each time you reload the instance there’s a chance a cannon spawns in the western training field. For the clear, equip a Mask, operate the cannon, and use it to kill 5 soldiers at once.

How to Get Unyielding Hero Plate Cloak

The Unyielding Hero Plate Cloak is rewarded for completing White Crow’s Gaze Hunting – Hunter’s Discipline, where you must defeat 3 hyenas without moving more than 20 meters.

To start the challenge, locate the Sealed Abyss Artifact near Tashkalp, at the intersection just north of the first “A” of Tashkalp on the map.

The best approach is to head just northwest of the artifact’s location, crossing to the other side of the river (shown above). That area is packed with a roaming hyena pack, making it easier to line up your kills. Ranged weapons such as bows or guns are recommended for faster, safer progress, and there’s no time limit—so you can take your time to control your movement and stay within the distance restriction.

How to Get Unyielding Hero Plate Boots

The Unyielding Hero Plate Boots are a reward for finishing Master Du’s Dare Above the Law – The Vanished Wagon, which tasks you with selling 3 wagons to the fence.

The Sealed Abyss Artifact for this challenge can be found in Calphade, north of the Calphade Beacon.

Where the wagon fences are

To complete the challenge, you need to steal a wagon from NPCs on roads and drive it to a wagon fence. There are three wagon fences in the game:

• One east of the Howling Hill camp in Hernand.
• One west of Demeniss, just past the fields.
• One southeast of Tashkalp.
