Pokemon Reveals Six More Transformed Ditto Plush Toys for New Merch Wave

Pokémon has been leaning hard into Ditto lately, and the latest merch wave keeps that momentum going. Last year, a line of plush toys arrived featuring Ditto disguised as a range of other Pokémon, and now that Ditto is more prominent than ever, the collection is set to grow again.

Six More Transformed Ditto Plushes Have Been Revealed

Six additional transformed Ditto plushes have been teased, and they’ll be released when the lineup officially expands on July 9, 2026. Even though the Ditto-disguised plush range already includes more than 40 entries, most of them still rely on disguise forms pulled from earlier Pokémon generations.

So far, the focus has heavily favored Gen 1. And while that’s not exactly surprising for long-running Pokémon merch, the newest batch is doing something different with its selection.

A Shift Away From Gen 1

None of the six new plushes have showed up before Gen 4. Spiritomb is the oldest Pokémon included in this set, followed by Zorua and its Hisuian variant. The remaining trio all come from the two most recent generations, with Gen 10 left out for the time being.

There’s still no Ditto-style plush for Pombon—at least not yet. The promise here is that if and when the first Pombon option gets revealed, it’ll be shared as soon as it’s available, ideally after someone manages to snag their own.

Sobble And Sprigatito Join Pokemon’s Ditto Plush Collection

Sobble is representing the Gen 8 starter group, while Sprigatito steps in as the “next-generation Pikachu” pick for the lineup. Also included is Ogerpon, a character new enough that it seemed like it might’ve been getting its first plush here—turns out it already has prior merch, and its transformed Ditto version is simply next.

Ogerpon’s Ditto disguise plush is on the way, bringing the total number of Ogerpon plushes up from six to seven. That addition underlines how quickly this line is evolving beyond the earliest-generation disguises.

Quick facts

  • Six new transformed Ditto plushes are being revealed for an official lineup expansion on July 9, 2026.
  • The new entries include Spiritomb, Zorua, and Zorua’s Hisuian form, plus three more Pokémon from the two most recent generations.
  • The batch avoids pre–Gen 4 Pokémon, with no Pombon plush shown yet.
  • Sobble (Gen 8 starters) and Sprigatito are included, alongside Ogerpon.
  • Release availability is Japan-only next week, with a strong chance of wider rollout later.

Japan-Only Release, Possible Global Follow-Up

There’s a catch: these plushes will be exclusive to Japan when they launch next week. That’s a familiar pattern for Pokémon plush drops, but there’s a silver lining—there’s a good reason to expect these new forms to reach other regions soon after.

The key detail is that the rest of the transformed Ditto plush collection is already available outside Japan. When the new six arrive, they’ll likely follow the same path to the US and other markets, even if you’ll have to wait a bit longer than the initial Japanese release.

If you don’t want to wait, you can try ordering through Meccha Japan when listings go live. Another option is to visit Japan and pick up the plushes there, using the clear plastic “plushie prison” compartment built into new Pokémon luggage that’s also available for purchase on-site.
