Raiders of Sophie Loot Guide: What to Keep, Sell, and Upgrade
Sand: Raiders of Sophie is a loop built around grabbing loot, returning to your walker, and extracting—but figuring out which items are worth selling for Crowns and which should be saved for upgrades can get confusing fast. Here’s a practical breakdown of what to keep, what to liquidate, and how it all ties into tech tree progression.
Checklists
Loot is the main goal of every run in Sand: Raiders of Sophie. Your priority is to collect as many important items as possible, bring them back to your walker, and then extract. The tricky part starts when you return: it’s not always obvious which pickups you should sell and which ones you should hold onto to improve your equipment. This guide lays out what you should keep and what you should sell while playing Sand: Raiders of Sophie.
What to Keep and Use For Upgrades
As you explore Sophie using your walker, you’ll run into a broad range of loot and crafting materials. The most frequent container types include boxes packed with valuables, ammunition (and weapons), food, shells, and medicine crates. Food, ammunition, and medicine crates are all items you can use for upgrades, and you can extract with them when you leave the match.
Below is a detailed look at the valuable materials you can pull from these crates, what they’re used for in your tech tree, and where each category comes from.
Can you still sell all of these items after you return to base? Yes. If you check your tech tree and see what you need right away, you may find you already have enough of a specific resource. In that case, if the extra is sitting in storage, it’s a smart move to sell it to the vendor to earn additional Crowns. Those Crowns can be used to unlock further tech tree upgrades, or invested to add a powerful cannon to your walker.
What To Sell and Where to Sell
Among all the crates you can loot, valuables tend to provide the most useful trade items. This includes Small Valuables, Valuable Paper, and Crowns—though Crowns themselves are the currency you primarily need in Sand, so you’ll generally want to hold onto them instead of selling them off.
Valuables are also your key income source whenever you play Sand: Raiders of Sophie. Valuable safes are the most direct way to generate that income for you and your team, which is why they should be treated as a priority during a run. You’ll never have enough space on your walker for boxes full of loot from a valuables safe.
Still, everything has a cost—especially if you’re struggling after a few weaker runs. If you find yourself in a bind and you haven’t pulled enough useful resources, it can be worth selling some items you don’t need at the moment. You can always go back to Sophie with your walker later to gather more.
